Mike McCoy our next HC?

I know, I know Smitty is still the coach of the Atlanta Falcons and has been a staple in some of the best years of this franchise(which IMO is kind of sad). This week has seen drastic changes. Both coordinators have taken jobs at other places and Mr. Blank is pissed more than I have ever seen him. It's time for change(Barack Obama voice). TD and MS have vowed to take a good hard look at every phase of the organization(football wise) and make the hard decisions.

Sounds good but realistically this team has a deeper problem. Passion. This team has too much talent to get punched in the mouth repeatedly on the big stage. That is where your franchise makes it mark. In prime time and the post season is where you show off your brand to the world. I think this and the failure to win in the postseason pisses Mr. Blank off the most. Even though most would say the coordinators where the problem they still had to answer to 1 man. Smitty.

They were the scapegoats this season. This was a sacrifice for Smitty and TD to keep their heads above water. TD who seems to have the faith of most falcoholics is still at fault as well. His O line prospects have not panned out and his FA acquisitions haven't either. Some might say they where under utilized and that's a fair point. I still think TD drafts not to miss instead of trying to grab a potential stud. The draft is the ultimate gamble. You would like to be high reward and low risk but not taking the chance at all won't get you anywhere. This team has alot of pressure on it so why don't we fire the coach and change the culture while we still have the talent? If it is inevitable anyway why wait?

He has done wonders for Jesus 2.0(aka Tim Tebow) and has basically changed the offense on the drop of a dime to accommodate Tebow's strengths. That my friends is what we call "adjustments". He also was the passing coordinator under John Fox in Car when they had great success winning 2 NFC south divison titles and a NFC championship. He also has overseen 6 3,000 yard passing seasons from players like Jake Delhomme and Kyle Orton.

This isn't a fire Smitty rant(even though it looks the part). Just another vantage point to our current situation.
