Overrated/Underrated?
I'm writing a guide for the upcoming 2012 season and I had a few questions about the Falcons. I though the best place to find these answers is from the loyal fan base. So I appreciate the help in advance.
Who is the Falcon's most overrated player?
Most underrated?
Falcon's rookie of the year?
Was the draft day trade for Julio Jones worth it?
Is head coach Mike Smith the best decision maker in crucial situations?

Ok
Most overrated player: Tony Gonzalez
Most underrated Player: Jason Snelling
Falcon’s rookie of the year?: Julio Jones
Was the draft day trade for Julio Jones worth it?: Yes
Is head coach Mike Smith the best decision maker in crucial situations? No, he’s too emotional he needs to calm down.
That's a pretty bold statement saying Tony Gonzalez is the most overrated.
Especially with the season he was having.

88 and 33 are the key ingredients to Mularky's offense
Which is why Gonazalez got so many looks. Some people see him as a key component on this team, but I think without him we’re pretty much the same team.
My take
Over- Michael Turner
Under – Harry Douglas
Rookie – Julio w/out question
Worth it? He has to be cause I will lose my mind if he has a sophomore slump, and our newly retooled team (with several FA’s gone to other homes, and fewer draft picks because of the trade) and we end up missing the playoffs.
Smith? no, he wants to show the world his balls in crucial times, and tends to get them caught in his zipper
Here is what I think,
Over- Michael Turner
Under- Harry Douglas
Rookie-Julio Jones easily
Was he worth it? As of right now I would say yes, but only time will tell because a solid rookie outing does’t justify giving away a bunch of picks, he needs to continue to produce.
Smith- I like his decisions, he shows that he has faith in his players to do what needs to be done at crunch time. It’s just the plays THEY call and the way the players execute aren’t where they need to be.
Over- Roddy White/ Michael Turner (Just a year ago they were under rated)
Under- Harry Douglas (Hope we don’t let ’em go) and Quizz/Snell
Rookie- What other rookie had near enough impact as Julio Jones
Draft Day Pick- Yes, can’t tell def until next year or when Roddy White is gone and we need a big WR crucially
Mike Smith- 2 more years, no playoff wins than no. So far yes…

My Take
Over- Roddy/Turner, their numbers are skewed and also they’ve been non existent at crucial times
Under- HD83
Rookie-JJ11 without a doubt
Draft Day- Yes, from what we’ve seen and I can only think he’ll get better. I also like to look at who the browns got and what they’ve done respectively and I think so far we’ve gotten the best day
MS- I think he makes decisions in which he wants to show the team he believes in the, but then also makes some boneheaded decisions (see onside kick vs saints)

Over- Turner
Under- HD83 or Sidbury
Rookie- Tempted to go Bosher but JJ11 and his flashiness please me
Draft- 100% He is only gonna get better, he will be a top 3 receiver in a couple of years
MS- Ermmm, tough to say, i loved his decisions up until a few weeks ago, i just get the feeling that he let the media get in his head a little bit and had something to prove….
