Backup QB
Normally I would never even think of this, but due to the recent events in the past few games, I've been thinking what happens if Ryan gets seriously injured. If things like this keep happening, or if this guy doesn't improve, then our young qb may be in for a very rude awakening, especially considering that we go against a lot of good pass rushers this year.

This is what I've come up with. In my opinion, the best FA qb is David Garrard. He was a jag, so Smitty knows him well, he's got a great arm, is tough to bring down, rather durable, and in my opinion, a much better option than Rojohombre.I've always thought Garrard would've been better on a better team. He's never really had anybody other than MJD, so I'm sure coming to a talented team like our beloved birds would be at least attractive for him, even for a backup role. Even if he ends up not being needed as a Falcons, I'm sure some other qb will get hurt, so we could use him as trade bait.
What do you guys think?

He'd be an upgrade over Redman
but I don’t know how much he’d want, or if he wants to go somewhere where he could compete for a job. I also don’t think he fits our offense very well. He’s had some struggles with accuracy and he relies on his mobility more than he probably should at his age. Honestly, I don’t think we make any moves for QBs this season, because if Matt Ryan goes down, I think we’re pretty much screwed regardless of who comes in.
