The problem, as I see it, is not with any one person. It doesn't lie even in the schemes. It's not Matty's fault, BVG's or sadly even MM's (I hate his scheme dont get me wrong). The problem lies deeper, and its harder to identify. Its not motivation, its not work-ethic.
Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you your problem: a total and complete lack of a sense of urgency. This team is talented, and they know it. The coordinators know it, the FO knows it, too. They work hard, they study film, they lack (mostly) off the field issues. But, when its game time, it almost feels like (with a few exceptions) the attitude is that "We're here now, give us our W." There is no FIRE to this team. It lacks heart. That's one thing I'll always admire about Dahl, he wasn't our best OL, but damnit he sure had the attitude like he was. Once the game gets going, and we get kicked in the teeth a few times, THEN they MIGHT show up. Roddy said it best when he said " This teams doesn't have an identity right now".
