Depth Chart for Bucs Game
A few interesting things to point out:
Sam Baker is still at LT (Matt Ryan just peed a little)
Todd McClure is back at C (thank Merlin's beard)
Cory Peters and USS Babs are the starting DT's (guess the injuries weren't as bad as we thought)
Peria Jerry is listed behind Babs, which is interesting since Jerry had a great game against PHI
DeCoud is still starting at FS
Weems is still starting at PR and KR
I love Weems, but his boneheaded decisions have cause us to have crappy field position both games. I'd like to see what Franks would do.
Any other thoughts?

I have a hard time
believing Babs is going to start or play against TB. I hope he’s not being rushed back to soon, if the report is accurate.
Bosher,…Meh. I’m also getting to the point where Weems is getting a “Meh”.
Odd that Sanders started last week if DeCoud is starting this week.

familiarity maybe?
since this is a rivalry game – DeCoud does have the experience against this particular team
know what you believe in and why you believe in it
I'm fairly certain DeCoud was listed as the starter last week as well

Ah, and you're right
These depth charts are about as useful as mittens on a scorpion.

I'm betting the scorpion wouldn't

I'd put a mitten on his tail.
Another option is to pour beer on them. Seriously, try it the next time you are attacked by a scorpion. It hits them pretty hard.
I'ma sting you!
Oh God, I’m a failure as a scorpion!

you know what's creepy? It's possible to hear their footsteps.
For real, I was living in Death Valley for 7 months. We had to double check our shoes all the time. One night, just like in a movie or something, I heard this very tiny, subtle tapping sound on the floor followed by a magnified silhouette created from the light under the door. I turned on the lights, and surely enough, there was a scorpion. He was surprised as well. So, he went into attack mode sticking his tail straight up in the air and chased me (they do that). I jumped on a chair and screamed like a girl. I threw a bunch of stuff at it and eventually killed it. I have flashbacks every time I hear about scorpions. I’m sure it would’ve been funny for a local to see a big guy like myself so freaked.
They will be splitting snaps according to BVG via AJC tweet

Not sure if this is good or bad...we shall see...

MCCLURE!!!!
This I needed to see. You made my day.
None of this is official until the injury report releases
I believe that happens tomorrow. So, I fully expect that Babs will come off and quite possibly Peters.
I do hope McClure comes back, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he sat another week as well.
This is not this week's depth chart
it is the standard depth chart. I think DOL was just pointing out that it’s still the standard one despite the changes we saw at the start of last week’s game.
Also, that’s why you see McClure, Babs, Peters and other injured players in their starting position, though it seems likely that Babs at least, would still be a ways from starting.

Agree with KMarch wait on Friday's injury report
Yeah they are still listed as the starters on the depth charts that you can get from the team website. However to see who’ll be actually playing on Sunday I’d wait to see Friday’s Piedmont Injury Report off the team website under the “News” tab.
Make a note of what their practice schedule was like that week on Wednesday and Friday’s reports.
FP = full participation – meaning they’ll be playing.
LP = Limited participation – meaning they’ll probably play (for Example Owens was LP last week and he played).
DNP = Did Not Participate – most probably won’t see action Sunday
I’d say this about listing starters though. It doesn’t mean as much as it did back in the day. Depending upon down and distance and line rotations most of our roster sees action any given game day. I’d expect to see Peters play, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on Babs.
I take this with a grain of salt... On that ol' side night, I remember when I didn't cringe when it came to special teams. Seems a lifetime ago...
of course, those were the same years that never had 2 winning seasons in a row, so,there ya go.
I have no vampire experience, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got there, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.

Sanders.
It would be interesting to watch who plays more snaps next week. Sanders had an up and down game. He was in coverage on two long completions, one to Steve Smith and other to Avant. But I guess this is a good problem to have and knock some sense in to Decoud.
It's all about Process...

Weems is not a better returner than Franks. I question the HC for this move. We all saw what Franks can do. I do think Weems is better in coverage. So, I would be surorised if we re-sign weems next year. He’s occupying a spot on the WR and not yielding the returns it should.
As far as NB, what’s the story? Owens need to be sent to practice squad asap. Is hayden already injured?
Owens did well against the Eagles
Hayden went out with a leg injury sometime in the third quarter, IIRC.
I was a huge critic of Owens in the preseason, but he had a respectable game against the Eagles. He also has the most experience in the system, so he has some value – even if he has been a liability in the past.
As for Weems, I think they’re keeping him around as the 5th receiver option. He does well in the slot routes, although he’s not quite as fast as HD83. I agree that he probably will not be resigned, especially since the kickoff rule change.
I'm not sure what you mean by
“Weems is better in coverage”. Weems doesn’t cover anyone as he’s a WR. Also, Weems is a proven returner and Franks isn’t. Weems did go to the Pro Bowl last year so it’s up to Franks to unseat Weems. True that he can’t do that without opportunities though.
he meant KO coverage, I think

proven returner?
He doesn’t even return the ball anymore! I was a big weems fan, but if he lets ONE more kick roll inside the five when he could have caught it at the 20 my head will explode. I like “special” weems but he doesn’t seem like the same player

Weems...
will be fine everyone…enhance your calm…lol
Admittedly his play thus far has not been stellar but as others have said, he did start in the Pro Bowl. Let’s see how he does the next few games before everyone starts calling for his replacement…but that’s just me…

I am agreeing...
with all the Bosher nah-sayers. A 12 yard punt in unacceptable…12 YARDS!!
Don’t know if I would outright cut him but there has to be more there…doesn’t there?? Anyone…………..

It was 18 yards I think
Nonetheless, this kid has to be bringing something else to the table. I trust TD and Mike Smith. I don’t think “6th round pick” is what’s keeping him on the squad.

At this point...it HAS to be his 6th round selection. I'm just not seeing the upside so far!!

Bosher has to go
I don’t care if he was a 1st rd pick, the guy simply hasn’t shown that he has enough power, accuracy, or hang time to be a legitimate NFL punter. Is Ken Parrish still available?
Injury report hasn't come out
So none of this is official I don’t think.
Therefore, I don’t think we’ll be seeing Babs and Peters in the next game (unfortunately). Blount is a big back, and we could’ve used them.
It will be good to have McClure back…that’s for sure. He’ll make the calls on the line, which could help run AND pass blocking. I expect to see an increase in both. Joe Hawley still needs to develop a bit more.
Surprising to see Sanders still not moved on top of DeCoud, but I’m pretty sure it’s Sanders’ job to lose.
