Ryan looks to "sharpen" offense; Walls in for Owens

Calculating, backstabbing  Falcons QB Matt Ryan (just checking to see if you're paying attention)  spoke of the need for the Falcon offense to sharpen its' focus. Like last years post third preseason game critique Ryan is somewhat critical of the performance of the offense to date.

In an interview with George Odum of the AP Ryan wants the first team offense to "get into a game week schedule' Odum also quotes Mike Smith as wanting a clean (without penalties or mistakes) from offense, defense and special teams.  The article stamps one of the things that we as Falcon fans will tire of quickly i.e. whether Julio Jones is worth the draft picks used to acquire him. Yes, Julio it's your fault that the Falcons traded those picks and if they don't go to the Super Bowl then the trade was a bust. We'll also tire of how the team was blown out by the Packers (the fact that Ryan has beaten Rodgers twice will of course be dismissed) and Michael Vick seeks "revenge" against the team that "cut" him. I know....

Interesting when you contrast this meaningless game against the Steelers (if they lose this game they could easily end the preseason winless and wouldn't that be fun when we're out amongst the trolls?) with the 2010 season opener. Trey Lewis was in for the suspended Babs. Witherspoon and Bierman were just named to start and Moore was with the second unit.
