Man, we're talking about preseason!

Here's the good, the bad, and the ugly, halfway through 2011 preseason. The good, the 1st string! The bad, our record. Now the ugly, my confusion to who these games are to actually benefit, the coaches or the players trying to make the team... Yes, I went there, I would love to see the same intensity in offensive playing calling for 4 quarters and not a scaled down one based on the personell playing at the time. Yes, there is a danger to this, but if we want to field the best possible team, we as fans should expect no less of backups than starters. Lockout! Being 0 - 2 now scares me because of what this could mean for the regular season. Nothing is guaranteed, starters do get injured, so I as a fan don't want to ghasp in dismay because we're sending out inferior players. Who wants that? Nor do we want our play callers toning down the game plan because of injury. Being up 24 - 0 with our starters in the game and losing 43 - 6 after reserves report isn't encouraging. Why the disparity? Coaching or backups, maybe both. Someone please hand me a paperbag to blow into.
