Report: Harvey Dahl Signs With St. Louis Rams
Harvey Dahl was a great guard who played with an attitude even bigger than he was. That's why he became a fan favorite, and that's why I'll always remember him fondly.
Farewell, you magnificent bastard.

Yeah...
He was a good player for us.
Unfortunately, someone had to go. Good luck, Mr. Dahl.
Now, let’s sign Blalock! If not, then TD’s a stupid dumb!

don't be so stupid dumb
it won’t become a meme

I do too...
“[Insert Name] is a Stupid Dumb!!” perfectly encapsulates the ignorance and/or impatience of many fans (myself included) about a given situation, especially when said impatience and ignorance culminates with impulsive posts on SBNation, Twitter, Facebook, or, alternatively, late-night, drunken text messages.

That takes away 2 "Unnecessary Brutality" penalties per game.
I really liked his nasty attitude, but I won’t miss the Captain Drivekill personna.
How many more days, Lord, must I walk through the wilderness?
GO FALCONS!!

Hello? Mr. Blalock? ...Yes sir we would like you to come back.
TNT should've treated Lebron's return to Cleveland game like 2k11 and cut the game off after the Cavs were down by 30. lol
lol - I love the way you typed that
It reads like an obituary.

haha - rec'd!
that made me reread it and – yes … yes it does sound like an obituary.
Oh well, no use mourning over the dead.
He’s gone now – time to get on with our lives. We are free to marry another.

Time for Mike Johnson to show what he's made of

I am definitily digging this whole new "rec'd"ing movement
know what you believe in and why you believe in it
Sorueces say....
That M. Johnson is beyond ready. They say that he can contribute from day 1, that he is ready. LEt’s hope!!!
Mike Johnson will most likely be the new starter at RT.
Which I’m perfectly okay with. Since I know that he’s a beast of a lineman. I watched him play at Bama.
soooooo....
Clabo is moving inside?
I’m so confused! Am I really that Stupid Dumb?
know what you believe in and why you believe in it
is it possible...
We’ll ever see Clabo move to LT and Baker over to RT?
by cheshire falcon on Jul 29, 2011 3:58 PM EDT up reply actions
Id love Clabo at LT..
Hate Baker there

by Ball Hawk on Jul 29, 2011 4:00 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Clabo would probably struggle at LT
Look what happened to the more athletic Oher when he moved from RT to LT.
the reason I bring it up...
Is because I heard that Buffalo was going to play him at LT had they landed him. So i’m thinking “Um, why don’t we do that”.
I don’t hate Baker… I mean i haven’t been amazed by him, but I do think he’s getting better. But he seems like a much more logical fit for the RT position.
by cheshire falcon on Jul 29, 2011 4:03 PM EDT up reply actions
Were they?
That’s surprising. Their O line is completely terrible though. Baker does seem to be a more logical fit at LT, and considering how Clabo shut down Clay Matthews in the first GB game perhaps it could work. But I think the coaching staff would have done it by now if they planned to. Also, Clabo’s contract is very clearly a RT contract so I doubt he’d be happy moving to a premium position after signing a non premium contract.
yeah, you're probably right
Just throwing it out there. It would be odd if I was the first person who thought of that :)
by cheshire falcon on Jul 29, 2011 4:09 PM EDT up reply actions
Nope, it's a good idea
Hopefully Baker will improve this year. If not it might be time to look at a new LT.
I think
that’s more a product of the Bills having a really bad O-line
Clabo’s skill set is more of an RT
Baker isn’t great, but he gets the job done

Harvey got his money's worth in those piles )
Best of luck to Dahl
Would have been nice to keep him but somebody had to go
I hope Hacksaw can step in
He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is
More pictures of men with no shirts on?

Well, since you asked
It is a site composed mostly of men who love to watch other men get hot and sweaty while “tussling with other men”. We praise guys like Roddy White for his “excellent hands” and we are thrilled to sign players like Ray Edwards because of his great “penetrating ability”. Guys like Jamaal Anderson are cut because they can’t “perform up to expectations”… I’m going to stop here. It is way too easy to come up with these sexual innuendos .

That doesn't sum it up yet....
not until we get another running back that can use his offensive line and find the hole!

Magnificent tight ends give us wood
Hey Jerry,
I'm gonna send a few guys from The Home Depot to make a few changes to your suite so it will be more comfortable to watch my Falcons in the Super Bowl.
Thanks,

We have bear wood on defense.
That’s some pretty big wood.

I just hope
Roddy can teach JJ how to get off the line. It’s always nice to get a quick release.

Don't forget how important it is for defensive players
To make contact low and powerfully.
The kind of loss we've been preparing for
As long as we get Blalock back it’s not a big deal.
I realize his departure does the least damage
Still sad to see my favorite OL go

It gives us a nice combination of red and green, reminding me of Christmas. Although I could be thinking of Christmas because of the gifts TD keeps giving this fanbase the past few days…

Other than LS...
yes I would agree

Man I HATE the Eagles but wow their D is lockdown now. Nnamdi, Asante, and DRC?
Not. Fair.
by FLA_Falcon on Jul 29, 2011 6:22 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Wow.
How do you scheme for that? If you run 2 WRs, it let’s Philly do a rotation. I’m not sure 4 WRs would make things better either. Hmmm…
Smokey says: Only you can BVG forest fires.
they're not keeping all 3 of them
Would be WAY too expensive. Even 2 of them will be too expensive.
I just heard the Eagles are already entertaining offers for Samuel.
by cheshire falcon on Jul 29, 2011 7:06 PM EDT up reply actions
My guess
Is that Philly trades one of the 3 CB’s…most likely Asante. Either way, we play these guys in 51 days. I hope JJ is truely ready, because Roddy is going to be covered.
throw in the middle of the field or run the ball
That’s what is so strange about this move to me… they had already addressed their secondary by getting DRC. They needed more help in the LB corp and on their defensive line, but now they made it difficult to address those needs.
I mean yeah, their secondary is awesome now, but so what if your LB and defensive line can’t do anything? Those were major weaknesses for the Eagles last year, and I don’t think just getting Jason Babin fixes it.

According to the folks at CSC
They think this is awesome, like Dahl leaving will create this huge fallout for the falcons

Nnamdi Asomugha is an Eagle!
Go ahead and chock that game up to a loss….
wow… what an offseason they have. They definitely are the winners when this offseason is all said and done with!

Man FREAK ASOMUGHA!!
Re-sign Brent Grimes immediately…I’m super salty right now.
TNT should've treated Lebron's return to Cleveland game like 2k11 and cut the game off after the Cavs were down by 30. lol
Mike Johnson should be ready to go
We still gotta resign Blalock and Grimes. Any chance we add a new receiver and/or corner? Damn phillys lookin strong. Asomugha better get his chin strap ready.

Not a fan of FA
I hate losing Dahl. The FA concept embraced today prevents any team ever again creating a dynasty… but it also spins the pro game around on its ear and makes teams almost as unpredictable as those in the college version. There’s not the continuity needed to build a team under the team concept.
The days of players spending the better part of a career with a single club, that could then build talent with familiarity into a team, are now long gone.
