Ray Edwards blows up bridge

Tom Pelissaro of 1500ESPN.com in Minneapolis has reported that Minnesota Vikings DE Ray Edwards has made it known that if his contract demands are not met or if he's targeted with a restricted tender he'll focus exclusively on his boxing "career"

Pelissaro quotes Edwards;

"I openly said I won't play for the Vikings, because of the simple fact of my backup is [sic] getting paid 70 more percent than I am. There's now way I can do that to myself. I'd rather do what I love doing. I love [doing] football as well. But if there's nobody that's going to trade for me, I will [be] definitely focused on boxing"

So, can the Falcons take on another player who leaves his team over a contract issue? A very vocal player when it concerns pay. Do you take the risk?
