Mock Draft

I didnt put a .0 on this because frankly I forgot where I left off at. I have been hearing alot of experts mock many different players for us. From Justin Houston to Mark Ingram. I originally wanted to trade up for Bowers but the price is pretty hefty. In saying that though I dont really like whats for us at 27. I would love to trade down. So i did. I think a great partner are the Bengals. They have a need for QB and might fear that Buffalo or another team might trade up to get a Ponder or a Dalton in the late 1st round. The points are pretty close too.

We trade our 1st and 3rd(816) to Cin for their 2nd and 3rd(810).

2a. Randall Cobb/WR/UK: Very versatile player who has great intangibles. Very soft hands and should provide the diversity we need on offense. TD has been observing Jerrigan lately but I think Cobb has more upside and will be a better pro. Bigger WR who played tougher competition in college. Plus he can play more positions.

2b. Rodney Hudson/OG/Fla St.: A undersized OG who can play C. Sounds unconvincing huh. Hudson was a monster at the Senior Bowl. Playing on both the left and right side opening huge holes against some of th top DTs in this draft. Is very athletic and great for a zone blocking scheme. Good football IQ and awareness.

3. Curtis Brown/CB/UT: I am a firm believer in there is no such thing as too many CBs in this NFL. If he slips we could grab him at the top of the 3rd. He is a very talented corner who can come up and make the hit. I really do think that Franks will be our future starter at CB and with Brown at the other side we can tangle Dunta if he doesnt step it up.

4. Jah Reid/OT/UCF: We double dip at OL again. Im not sure if TD will keep Clabo since he will be pretty expensive. Reid should help with that loss. Very productive player in college and has great upside. Athletic and should step right in at RT.

5. Bilal Powell/RB/Lou.: All Big East 1st teamer. Rushed for 14 TDs last year. A very agile RB with great patience and vision. Reminds me of Jamaal Charles on tape. Has had some injury issues which concerns me. I think he will bounce back though and should compliment Turner very well. Also can catch out the backfield.

6. Ricky Elmore/DE/Arz. Was 1st in the Pac 10 last yr with 11 sacks. Was as productive as Reed and look more tenancious on tape. Stronger than he looks and could compete for a starting spot.

7a. Colin Franklin/TE/Iowa ST.: Quietly was 3rd in the nation in receptions with 54 at TE. Benched 225 28 times at his pro day. Deceptive speed and agility. Was the go to guy at Iowa St. Should split time with Palmer behind Gonzo.

7b. Jabara Williams/OLB/Stephen F Austin.: Voted All Southland Conference defensive player of the yr last year. Great speed for his size. Had 402 total tackles(25 for loss) and 9 sacks for his career. Should contribute on ST right away.

7c. Vidal Hazelton/WR/Cin.: Big wideout with soft hands. Always wanted to be a Falcon and i think TD will make that happen. Very doubt a guy with a chip on his shoulder and this guy does. Very clean route runner and should secure a spot on the roster.

UFAs

Andre Harris/RB/N. Col: Big Rb with nice speed. Ran for 700 yards and 10 TDs.

Pat Devlin/QB/Delaware: Doubt he doesnt get drafted but if he does would be a nice pickup. Big QB with good accuracy but does have character concerns.

Dequin Evans/DE/UK: Juco transfer who had 6 sacks in his 1st yr at UK.

Greg Ellinson/WR/Fla Int: Ran a 4.45 at 200 lbs. Has soft hands and a good route runner.

Davonte Shannon/SS/Buf. Hard hitting safety and a tackling machine. Will be a great ST and backup to Moore.

Josh Jasper/K/LSU: Good kicker and we need somebody.

Josh Gatlin/CB/N. Dakota St.: Had a impressive pro day and has nice size(6-1).
