Falcons To Work Out Rookie Justin Houston On March 25
I'll have a longer reaction to this tomorrow, but for now know the Falcons plan to put Georgia DE/OLB Justin Houston through a light workout later this month. As a pass rusher, he could be an intriguing fit for the Falcons.

The pattern would suggest so.

For the player: I would rather see him drafted to a 3-4 team that will use him as an outside linebacker.
For the Falcons: I’d rather a true full time college DE, if they were to go that route.
Disagree
He weighed in at 270; that’s bigger than Abe at this point. He’s a defensive end, with a little athleticism to cover tight ends when he drops into coverage. What he really needs is a 4-3 scheme where they like to drop their ends into coverage…where would that be….

And there lies the problem
Why would we drop our pass-rusher into coverage on a pass play. I never understood that. We should be developing a D-line that can send 4 at all times and get pressure on the QB. Our LBs should be able to cover better than our DEs.
Ask BVG that question next time you see him.
We’d all like to hear the answer.
