I would like to take a little time and thank all Atlanta Falcons fans, for they are truly good people. While I have been reviewing the highlights, and post game analysis. I have found a common theme, that is of Atlanta lost this game more then Houston won it. With the two called back touchdowns (We all know that first fumble for touchdown was as poor a call as they come), and the multiple dropped passes.
As to the refs, I believe (From a Texans fan standpoint) that the refs have been screwing us in games as of late, that TJ Yates "fumble" as well as a questionable defensive holding that wipes away a huge Falcons turnover in side their own 20. So in hindsight, the refs had a very poor quality outing in Houston at reliant, not only for the Texans but also for the Falcons.
Back to why I am giving love to the Falcon fanbase, as I hear the talking heads squabble about how this was Atlanta's game lost, I read in the comments about how the Falcons (while having chances to win) lost to a team that was highly determined and played a good game. And I value this very much, as Texans fan, outside recognition is hard to come by.
Duanta Robinson might not have left on the best of terms last time from houston, but he leaves the city on great terms going forward. You have a very good CB in Daunta he is a class act and a quality player.
As for the game, Julio Jones was praised for his athletic ability and it showed. Yet the inconsistency bug still remains, when he is relied upon to make big catches for his team, he repeatedly failed this week. Roddy White showed he has the skills/attributes to be a Top 3 receiver in this league, and most definitely will be in a season or two. As a Team, I don't see the a way the Falcons don't get a wildcard. Just too good.
So once again, after all the reviews this week I have just gained more and more respect for Falcons fans. The opportunity to shout blasphemy and bullshit, or what ever the kids shout out these days was passed by. The Falcon fan base is truly...
