'11 Falcons Nothing Like '10 Packers

You know I love you guys and the Falcoholic but 'ya gotta stop. I hate the Packers from all of the years that I lived in Minneapolis and my ex brother-in-law was (is) a die (soon I hope) hard Packer fan. However the only resemblance the '11 Falcons have to the '10 Packers is struggling to make the playoffs.

You guys the Packers had a poor record at this time last year because they had 16 players on IR, nine on the defensive side of the ball. Aaron Rodgers left two games with concussions. What they did have and continue to have is Mike McCarthy calling the plays. Matt Flynn nearly beat the Pats in New England. That's what separates us from them and frankly from New Orleans, the play calling.

How do we know what kind of QB play Matt Ryan is truly capable of in this type of "offense"? And here I'm not speaking only of play calling but in design of the offense. Atlanta's deep passing game (why you draft a QB at #3 and a WR at #6) is normally outside of the numbers. GB, NO and NE attack the safeties. Deep, between the numbers. They dictate to the defense. Imagine play callers from those three teams saying "You have to take what the defense gives you"

Because really good defenses don't want to give you anything. While infuriating it's not just draws and screens that are lacking. It's bunch formations, sweeps, swing passes. Basic plays form basic pro formations in HS, college and the NFL. You just don't have to prepare as much mentally when you play the Atlanta Falcons.

In 2010 from week nine through week thirteen the Falcons played five games, four teams who would end up winning ten or more games including GB and BAL. Record 5-0. Against both GB and BAL the team took early leads and true to form had to win late but win they did.

Since then we've lost two straight at home to both the Pack and Saints. They've moved on. Great play callers likely available soon are Norv Turner, Josh McDaniels and maybe Marty Mornhingweg. Defensively Mel Tucker (Jags) and Spags are likely out there. However I think no changes will be made. This is Mike Smith's team and like any relationship you take the good with the bad.

Babes of the post. Little different from my norm.

"Bitch I'm a man and who are you to ask me where...watching the game..forgot to ask you if I could go"
