From a Fan to The D Birds...don't whine. Adjust, Move On, Play Football.

Saw an article on CBS Sports where apparently many Falcons are upset that the Ain'ts kept passing in order to break the record:

Couple of quotes from that article--

"No need for that," one player said. "It came on our watch, but it didn't have to come that way. We won't forget it."

"That's just who they are," the Falcons player said. "We'll see them down the road. We won't forget any of it."

C'mon, Man! If you're upset, maybe the Falcons should have come prepared to play football. Maybe we should have adjusted our D to close those zone holes that EVERYBODY ON THIS BOARD HAS BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS, and EVERY NFL OFFENSE KNOWS HOW TO EXPLOIT (throw the ball 10-15 yards up the middle, catch it, run for extra yards, season to taste)!

Or maybe we should change our offensive scheme if we KNOW we're facing a high-powered offense...like controlling the run and the clock and ACTUALLY EXECUTING OUR PLAYS. You know, little stuff like not running the same play over and over again, throwing the ball in-bounds. Or catching it if its thrown to you.

Something. Anything. But don't whine about how the Ain'ts came to play football and you didn't. Much better to just play football instead.

You say you won't forget it. I hope you don't. Write it down. Take a picture. Do something! Just don't whine becasue you got your butt whooped. You're physically better than that. Play to your potential instead. Figure out what ain't working and FIX IT. Then go win.

You know...if the shoe were on the other foot, if it were Matty Ice about to break the record, at home, over a hated division rival, I'd want him to do everything that Drew did. And more. And if the Ain'ts complained, I'd tell them to grow up, too.
