Michael Turner's Back To Practicing

If you love watching people get trucked over by a man tank named Michael Turner, then I have good news for you.

Turner's returned to practice as of today, and it appears he'll be all set for Monday's tilt with the Saints. The Falcons are smart to get him rest when they can by holding him out of practice for a little bit.

Regardless of Turner's overall effectiveness versus the Saints—due to a combination of factors including his groin injury and blocking, he's averaging just 3.2 yards per carry over his last four games—he'll be valuable. That's because he wears down defenses by just running into them repeatedly, a sound strategy that Mike Mularkey mercilessly exploits. Okay, sometimes sound.

I still think Jacquizz Rodgers is in line for a big role, but it's awfully comforting to have the human hammer ready to go.

Is This Our Christmas Present? 3 Posts In One Day On Falcoholic and GrimeTime and The Burner Back To Full Health! I Love It! Really though, I was hoping to see some of the Jaquizzly Bear more often. He’s proved so much but yet earned so little respect. May I mind you all the crucial first downs and that one 30+ yard reception that completely changed the momentum of a game that if we would have lost would have ended our season. I’m glad to see (in my mind) a top 3 RB, Tank, Weapon of Fucking Mass Destruction Back, but I want to see more variation in our offence. We’ve got it in the pass game with Tony G, Roddy, JJ, and HD (Still not better than the ‘Aints sadly). We should take a page out of the division rivals book and make a RB combination that will be CRAZY. I mean look at Ingram and Sproles. You just don’t know what to do with them. The Quizzer has proved he had sure hands like Sproles. Of course he’s not gonna be as good but Damnit I wanna see him. If we can use all of our offensive weapons than we will be crazy good. It seems ever since I first posted it’s been a god damn rant. But this ones finally complete.

Two quick things

1) Please keep the swearing to a very dull roar outside of game threads, please and thank you!
2) Jacquizzly Bear is an awesome nickname.

Got A Point But...

We obviously need some sort of new technique against the saints! I mean their in our division and they play us every year. They are the better team then us, but we have an edge on them because we know them, but they also know us. At that point it’s skill and who’s the best that day. But if we add a new element against them un-expectantly against their mediocre (ish) defense whos not prepared against that he can have some big plays, especially screens. We need to mix it up against this team to clinch a spot in the playoffs. Even though we aren’t probably gonna make it far. I hate to be a downer but that’s what I think. Then again 5 years ago a season like this will be amazing! I don’t know, I REALLY have mixed feelings for this team.

seeing Burner practicing is great

and I fear Mike Mularkey WILL listen to our words and do something unexpected – run Turner up the middle on most running plays instead of handing it to Quizz or throwing it to Snelling.

but seriously, with all the knowledge the two teams have of each other, and the fact we have little to lose – we should do some new things to have a chance to pull this one off. and on D and special teams, please watch for those trick plays Payton likes to pull out of his hat once in awhile – like onside kicks, fake FGs and punts, etc.

I just realised that with 300 yards passing

in the next 2 games Matt Ryan will have 4000 yards passing and be the first falcons quarterback since Jeff George to have 4000 yards passing in a season it hasn’t been done since 1995 good going Matty Ice i hope they use J.Rodgers a lot in this game and exploit the saints defense and get some mismatches i also hope the Falcons draft J. Rodgers brother the wide receiver from oregon state that would cool having the Rodgers brothers wrecking havoc on nfl defenses.

The human cannon ball

And the human cannon ball short version. We got some runnin backs don’t we!It amazes me to watch other teams with their paltry running backs and Us and the Saints have at least six backs that could easily be number ones elsewhere.I am really looking forward to Monday Go Falcons and Merry Christmas and Happy holidays.
