Greetings everybody. Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying their holidays. I had a great experience at the Georgia Dome to kick off mine, although the Good Guys do tend to speed up your heart rate every now and again and the Vikings game wasn't an exception.
A few things came to my attention today regarding our squad. Follow after the jump for more.
The block was completely legal, as Meier just completely blew up on a shot to the snapper's body and did not go for the head area. Good grief. May as well make them wear skirts Goodell. I predict by 2021 you'll see the NFL supply new safety gear for all players ala Bubble Boy and implement a two hand touch rule when sacking the quarteback.
In other news, DOL is reporting that the Falcons have released DT Clifton Powell in favor of bumping JPW up from the practice squad to the current roster, as the Vikings reportedly put in a claim on him.
I have no idea what that move was about. From the small sample we've seen of JPW, he's been horrible. I mean Tyler Palko bad. I'm really hoping the Falcons take heed to what has happened this year and bring in a capable back up next year. Redman is running on his last legs and JPW is, well, JPW. Seriously, I saw kids from the Punt, Pass, and Kick program during the pregame that showed better arm strength and accuracy.
That's it for this week ladies and gents. I'll leave you with something to entertain your spirits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3SLAar1Rbo
The first model on the walkway is nothing short of stunning. Cheers!
