Falcons Friday Injury Report For Week Twelve
The Atlanta Falcons are dinged up, battered and dented, as usual. But they might actually be a little healthier than the long list of names would suggest.
For the week, there's only one player who's definitely going to miss the game. That would be Kelvin Hayden, who has been a pretty decent nickel back all year long. With him out, the team will turn to universally but not necessarily justifiably reviled Chris Owens or Dominique Franks. We all hope the drop-off isn't apparent.
From there, there are three questionables. One is Sam Baker, who has missed the last several weeks and may be held out again with Will Svitek playing quite well in relief.
The second is Brent Grimes, which is a major concern given that Grimey is the team's best playmaking cornerback and a great coverage guy. If he and Hayden were to miss the game, Owens would probably be starting. I'm not totally comfortable with that.
Finally, Vance Walker is questionable with a groin injury after not being listed on the injury report up until today. The team won't miss him quite as much as some of the others, but Walker's solid depth at defensive tackle. Hopefully he's up for the game.
Everyone else is probable and should be all systems go for the Vikings. What say you?

Hayden hurts a bit but better he's healthy for the stretch run
I’m a little concerned that JJ is playing. I really hope we’re not rushing him back ala the Turner debacle. He’s pulled both hammies this season, no need to rush him back. But if he’s ready let’s hope his awesomeness doesn’t throw our offense out of what, or I should say throw MM out of whack.
is it true
that it’s both hammies he hurt, and that this time it’s a different injury from what he had prior to the colts game?
if so, it looks like it’s all about conditioning. someone better teach him how to stretch and warm up before the game.

Yeah
The one he hurt earlier is not the same as the one he hurt vs the Taints. And agree 100% somebody better start doing a better job of keeping him healthy.
Don't understand this hamstring trouble with Julio
He got dinged up at Alabama, but to my knowledge, he never had hamstring problems.

Chris Owens
is a nightmare. Between him and Decoud they really make our secondary weak. I would love for Sanders to take over Decouds spot and hopefully Sanders will be back soon

only if he's really hurt
with AP down they will be passing a lot, especially if they fall behind early (or so we hope). and if our pass rush disappears again, it will be tough for the secondary

Obviously I'd much prefer Grimes
but when he started outside, Owens wasn’t actually that bad from memory. I loathe his very existence when he starts at nickel, but I think maybe he is more suited to playing outside.
