Finally a blitz package that works!

Sunday, my beloved Falcons did something that I had been wishing for all season.  They didn't commit to the all out blitz. Nor the they go to the dreaded 3 man coverages. Yes, I believe that the Falcons is neither a good coverage or all out blitz team. For years, my Falcons' ID has screamed man to man or a "Tampa 2" scheme. We get good results when we send linebackers off the edges and man up with our safeties. Since 98, our success on Dfense as been through these schemes.

It was good to see Mularkey thinking his way through a game, instead of constantly reacting to what was happening on the field. The first half, Carolina had their way with us, going nearly perfect on 3rd down conversions. Also, when we did pressure our prodigal son, he alluded our ill intentions. The 2nd half brought adjustments to our pressure and 3rd down defense which yielded fruit. Matty Ice and his legend fed off the D and put the game out of reach. Lastly, the 3 INTs, 2 in the endzone and the one by the Rambling Wheck, confirmed our victory.

Please, Mularkey, say no to the all out blitz, by it we always get killed and no to the 3 man prevent, because we suck at that to. Use the speed that we have at the corners and press more, Robertson and Grimes are up for the challenge. Our safeties are no slouches either. Honestly, I want what's best for the team, I'm just giving push in the right direction.
