That was glorious.
The Falcons looked like they might bumble their way to a loss when they were down 17-14 in the third quarter, with the defense struggling. But suddenly the defense clamped down, picking Cam Newton multiple times, and the offense got rolling off a terrific performance from Michael Turner.
This was a huge win for the Falcons, who desperately needed to even their record to stay alive in the NFC South. The win gives them some momentum going against a tough Detroit team next week. Plus, it makes for a happy evening for the rest of us.
