Hi,
I'm back for the first of hopefully three of these postseason posts. This week, it's the Packers.
The series is tied, 1-1 going back to 1995, when the Pack won in GB, 37-20. The Birds "led" by Jeff George, scored first in that game, and fought the Pack hard until the middle of the fourth. This was a first round matchup.
The second, and we all remember this one was in 2002, when again, a first round matchup in GB, saw the birds jump out in front early, and just pounding Farve and Co., 27-7. A blocked punt right before the half put the birds up, 24-0 at halftime, and it was a done deal after that with the Falcons controlling the clock for 36 minutes. First ever loss for the Pack in the post season at Lambeau, cold and snowy night, 31 degrees. It was one to remember.
Put Michael Vick on the map as well, at least for awhile. This game on Saturday will be the third (no kidding!) in this series, the series with the Eagles is the other postseason series in which the Falcons have played at least three games against. Looking at a good one Saturday night with the Falcons taking it, 24-17, or somewhere around there.
Any Falcoholics going to the game, be loud and proud, and put our team into next week's NFC championship, and I plan on posting here again next week for that, either against the Seahawks or Bears.
Good Luck and Go Falcons!!!
