At long last, football that matters!

If this were, say, a Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins game, I wouldn't expect much interested in a dedicated open thread. But we're talking about the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings here. One team is our bitter rival, and the other one employs Brett Favre. I imagine at least a few of you are morbidly curious about how this one turns out.

For our purposes, this is a good chance to see how two expected titans of the NFC will look in real game action. If the Falcons want to win the division, they have to go through the Saints. If they want to win the wild card, they have to at least compete with the Vikings. This is our chance to do some scouting.

So enjoy the game. If we're lucky, they'll both find a way to lose.
