So..The Ravens are kinda stacked
So the Ravens just signed T.J Houshmanzadeh.
And that just adds to there already stacked offense which includes Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin, (sigh) Joe Flacco, Derrick Mason, and Donte Stallworth. Then there dominant defense that dosen't even need to be mentioned. This all plays out to be a nice and challenging game for the Falcons in week 10. I am curious to see if Matt Ryan and the offense are strong enough to put up multiple touchdowns and if our young defense will stack up against with good recievers, an up and coming Running Back and a pretty good o-line. I don't know about you guys, but this game is going be circled on my calender. To bad I can't go to the game myself since I live in MD but once we beat them I get to brag to all of my Raven friends.

I honestly don't know how that will work out.
Between Derrick Mason, Q, Donte Stallworth, and Housh, I don’t know how there will be enough passes to go around. Not to mention the two tight ends they drafted. It will certainly be interesting to watch…
Man
I really want to watch that Ravens Jets game next monday night, but I have to work that night…so I have to DVR it.

I don't know who to root for
I don’t like the jets, but I think Flacco is overrated, so it’s a difficult decision

It won't matter who catches it
if they move the ball they’re dangerous

I don't think they are that stacked.
Stallworth broke his foot. Housh was great in Cincy with Chad drawing attention, but he isn’t fast and is becoming a bigger and bigger head case.
Pair him with Boldin and you have a pair of guys who can catch anything, but aren’t fast and may be head cases. I don’t think the head case part will be a problem, and I think the Ravens will be great in the regular season, but come playoff time with no one to stretch the field teams will better be able to focus on the run and shorten the field. It’s going to bite them, and that’s why I really don’t see the Ravens being a Super Bowl threat.
there defense is not what it used to be
there secondary is TERRIBLE (with the exception of ed reed who is in and out with injuries) and there best corner Dominique Foxworth is out for the season. funny that he was there best when he really wasnt all that great. Housh is alright at best now, derrick mason is up there in age, stallworth has a broken foot so the only threat is Boldin. The ravens have strong LB’s and thats about it on D. still though, itll be close
New Orleans Saints: Established 2010
Their defense was third-best in yards per game last year.
There goes that theory.

Houshmanzadeh averaged 4.9 yards per catch last year and was cut by the Seahawks.
Hi fills me with absolutely no fear.

Just like everyone thought Randy Moss was finished when he left OAK, right? >.>
I can only hope that this isn’t another one of those.
"Ryan, under center. Single receiver set, to either side. Ryan, gonna throw. First professional pass.....CAUGHT!! Jenkins! 30! 25! 20! 15! 10! 5! He lives in Atlanta!!!" -Wes Durham
It's not
You’re comparing delicious, citrusy oranges to rotting apples that have been pooped on by Najeh Davenport because they were in a laundry hamper in a dorm room closet.
Randy Moss is a future Hall of Famer whose numbers in Oakland were tied to his lack of effort. T.J. Houshmanzadeh is a slow receiver with excellent hands who has seen his production drop because he can no longer separate from receivers on a consistent basis. He’ll help their offense and he probably would’ve helped ours, but he’s no Moss.

I kindly disagree with the slow receiver analysis
because Devery Henderson is suppose to be light years faster than Marques Colston but guess who’s number one? Baltimore can actually run the rock so their passing offense will benefit more than Seattle’s

I'm not saying he won't be good there
I’m saying he certainly won’t jump up to the heights Randy Moss did in New England. If he does, I will eat a steak.

ah, i see your point
But I don’t know if eating a steak is a bad thing

Moss was a 29-year-old three-time All Pro. He's only once averaged less than 13/catch.
Housh is a 32-year-old one-time Pro Bowler. He’s only once averaged more than 13/catch.
I see your point, but that’s a bad example.
(Yes, I totally whiffed on that 4.9/catch stat in my earlier comment.)

it mite be to new for the ravens to deal with
the offense will be good but not better than anything thats been around for the past couple of years. now that revis is back i think they lose week 1 to the jets. when i first saw the deal i was shocked and wanted to sighn vjackson asap to b sure we were up there. teams are sighning players to get them a ring and i felt like we should’ve done the same. Seriously, tell me we aren’t 1 vincent jackson away from that same coversation? and he’s 27 he could take micheal jenkins spot perfictly i think roddy would love the help. i just want asurance and security, just in case 1 more reciever goes down. we kill them thursday night if we have jackson…hopefully we can do it without him…. F it tho if you aint a falcon this year then you in the way, screw em all, birds to tha bowl!!!

i don't care how good VJ is
After seeing how he played in the AFC Divisional Round, he will shut it down when it counts, and cost you penalities or things like Farve throwing a head scratching interception against the Saints
Why don’t we take Dre Bly picking a pass and showboating only to fumble it back to the other team to help our corner situation, and get Albert Haynesworth to beef up our D-Line.

No one is scared
of the Ravens. Their secondary will be terrible. Both corners are coming off injuries and might not even play, Ed Reed is out the first 6 weeks. Just have MR air it out.
Steelers football is supposed to be 60 mins, recently it's been 45. The additional 15 are currently under construction.
They got Josh Wilson who is a good CB
Xbox Live Gamertag - IMIeursault currently MW2 and Madden 11.
If Troy, Harrison and Woodley are on top of their game, that is good for 9 wins right there, regardless of what is going on with their offense. - Mr MaLoR 28/6/10

We face the Ravens week 11
Reed should be back by then
I predict the Ravens and most of the AFC North get off to a slow start then pick it up heavily. It’s worse we are facing them late.

If ATL is to win
Matt Ryan is going to have to take over, I think that goes without saying. It still would be nice for ATL to pick up another WR though, even if Harry Douglas turns out to be a monster
yes
let’s not forget about him.

After watching ALOT of Seattle games last year..
don’t make the mistake of blaming his bad numbers on TJ. Seattle had a revolving door o line and more injuries than you can name off the top of your head. Everything was a quick off target throw that was almost never more than 5 yards down field. Add to that the lack of another quality reciever threat and all anyone had to do was double TJ and Seattle was done. Put him back on a team with more than just him and his number will go up significatly.
