Here's the final word in injuries. Thanks to the official site.
Break it down, you say? Hell yeah!
WR Michael Jenkins, OUT: We all knew this was coming. The most optimistic forecasts from the Falcons had Jenkins coming back by the second week of the season, so he'll rest his shoulder at least for this week. In his absence, I expect Brian Finneran to dominate the snaps outside, with a little Harry Douglas worked in. It's not ideal, but it's what we got.
CB Brent Grimes, Q: He practiced fully on Friday, which probably means he's good to go. The Falcons have Grimey penciled in as their starting corner opposite Dunta Robinson, and his ability to pick an errant pass is very tantalizing against Dennis Dixon, who is the steak tartare of NFL quarterbacks at the moment. If he's limited for any reason, Chris Owens will pick up his snaps.
C Joe Hawley, Q: Hawley could only practice on a limited basis Friday. If the Falcons feel he's not ready to go, they'll likely put him on the inactive list and have Rob Bruggeman backing up Todd McClure at center. It would be a blow to the team's offensive line depth if he couldn't go.
DT Corey Peters, Q: Knee injuries are always a big concern. With full practices on Thursday and Friday under his belt, however, Peters should be able to play at least limited snaps against the Steelers. He'll add a key piece of depth to the defensive tackle rotation.
