The 2011 draft should be like Xmas for Matty
With the defense pretty much intact the only hole i see is at DE(assuming sidbury doesnt take the side opposite of biermann). If Nicholas can prove to be a solid starter then OLB shouldnt be a problem either. Now that leaves the offense. The OL has some players eligible for free agency next year so we might look at the OL in the draft next year. Personally i think the key positions that should be addressed are TE,WR,DE,RB,OL, and K. My favorite thing about next years draft is our flexiblity. With no apparent holes on the team we can address the draft from different perspectives. Depending on how this year goes i think TD will most likely grab a DE in the first round.
I personally would like to grab one of the big 4 WRs(Green,Baldwin,Jones,Floyd) as our first rounder. I also wouldnt mind trading down since i think alot of good DEs and TEs will slip so we could get more value. Alot of mocks have us getting Romeus or Floyd(either i wouldnt mine) in the first round. I dont think neither will fall to us though unfortunately so i would hope TD trades down for 2 second rounders and grabs a Beal,Acho, or Bower for DE. For TE i would like to see Rudolph or Kendricks also in the second. Then we grab can grab a OT like Carimi or Pinkston also in the second. Then take a WR like Deandre Brown or Greg little in the 3rd or 4th and a RB like Quizz Rogers or Evan Royster(if he slips). However the draft goes it should feel like X mas for Matty Ice. TD should grab as many weapons as possible for Matty and as he evolves our overall offense should be top 5 in the NFL for years to come.
Who would you like to see us grab in the draft next year?

Damn iPhone...
I was saying it’s been a while since we had a draft discussion. I’m thinking WR, TE, DE, QB, OL, TE, WR, K and an OC.

speaking of QB
I hope the cards waive Max Hall so we can grab him. I think he could be our #2 QB off top. In the 2011 draft i like riley from cal or kaepernick from nevada.
back-up is John Parker Wilson's job
he’ll be just fine

Haha, don't be a homer....
He’s ok but Redman isn’t gonna be around much longer and depth at that spot is a luxury we can start to afford.

I'm not a big Hall fan
But if the Cardinals released him…I’d be tempted to see what he has. John Skelton, too.

A draft thread, seriously?
We haven’t even played a single game this year and we’re speculating for next years draft.
Well, yeah.

Easy Dave
other than just for fun it has no value at this point. We have no idea how our young TE’s are going to play this year. Palmer looked really good last night and Peele has had a great preseason so far. Why waste a draft pick if it’s covered. Also, one problem our offense has right now is Ryan’s dependence on TG. If TG ran deeper routes then it would be a different story.
Bottom line – we have no idea of what we need for next year. Add to that I hope we have the very last pic in the first round.

I absolutely see your point
But conjecture is part of the fun of being a fan, in my mind. I agree with you about Palmer…he’s earned a long look before final cuts.

I'm pretty sure
we’d talk about the 2012 draft if someone started a thread

by then
it might be 8 or 9 rounds because of the increased length of the season.

If the draft works out how you say it will
I think that would be very nice. Hopefully by next season we don’t have any new holes. But,with the way these season things go, we may not be as safe in some of these positions as we think we are.
