Falcons Favorable Schedule
I don't know if this has been covered before on this site, but I saw this in the comments on the AJC. Of the 16 games the Falcons play this season, 12 come against opponents who were on the road the previous week. 5-6 (depending on if you count Arizona) were on the road on the west coast. Further, only one team is coming off their bye.

@ Steelers……………………………………………..
Arizona……………………………………..@ Rams
@ Saints……………………………………@ 49ers (MNF)
San Francisco……………………………..@ KC
@ Cleveland………………………………..Bengals
@ Eagles……………………………………@ 49ers
Bengals…………………………………….. Bye Week
Falcons Bye Week………………………..
Tampa…………………………………………@ Cardinals
Baltimore …………………………………….Miami
@ Rams………………………………………@ 49ers
Packers……………………………………….@ Minnesota
@ Tampa……………………………………..@ Baltimore
@ Carolina……………………………………@ Seahawks
@ Seahawks…………………………………@ 49ers
Saints (MNF)……………………………….@ Ravens
Carolina………………………………………..@ Steelers

Agreed. Very nice.
I like the fact we are getting Green Bay the week after they play in Minnesota, which say what you want about Favre, but that team WILL beat the ever-living snot out of you.Even if they lose.

Same with the 49ers
And we play 4 teams who will have just finished playing them. Gonna have to cheer for Patrick Willis to hit some people!

Good to see you back here, my friend
Very interesting, to say the least. I’m a little more encouraged by our schedule now.

sure beats the hell out of 5 teams coming off bye weeks last year!
at least we get the bengals at home after their bye week as well
the schedulers were stupid last year
and they still are this year
"It's here, it's here, it's finally here" :Strongbad on football season
yep
pretty much the opposite of last season. And dont think that the Falcons front office wasnt bringing that up to the NFL as often as possible before the schedules were done.
Life is a garden. Dig it!

Sounds like we are getting Sloppy Seconds
Perhaps, I must go through Hell to get to Heaven......................if there is one.
I like these sloppy seconds.
Unlike the kind I would get Hooters’ if I was interested in (insert favorite slut joke here).

It has it’s ups and downs
High Risk High Reward kinda of thing
In this case you could have a wounded team willing to lay down after a brutal beating.
Or you could have an Angry Team on the Rebound for revenge,
Interesting enough the four teams we face not coming from a road game is all four AFC teams. Bengals from a Bye and Ravens from a home game against Miami (Wildcats) so they might be geared up against gadget plays.

Here is another positive note for the birds schedule ....
Anyone else notice that we play all the COLD WEATHER/OUTDOOR teams in the early part of the season … We get road games @Pittsburgh, @Cleveland, & @Philly way before the start of the winter wonderland snow season …. our late season COLD WEATHER foes are all either at the GA DOME … or in some cases (Seattle) they have a DOME of their very own!
So unless we end up a wild card having to play in bone chilling cold & not in DOME SWEET DOME …. we should be set IF we can win the division with a good record.
Im just sayin’ … surprised no one else has pointed this out …. :) :) :)

Yes dear, that was noted as soon as it came out in April.
Seattle being the only exception
I initially didn’t like it because we didn’t get the Saints first and don’t face Carolina until late, but I got used to it.
The Seahawks DO NOT HAVE A DOME, only for the audience, but not on the field.
