Tony Gonzalez Is Getting... Better?
As Arrowhead Pride reports, Peter King took a break from savoring his airport Favreccino and did some manly stats work:
"Gonzalez is 34 ... He has more catches (999) than any other tight end in history. By far. But what interests me is this: In his first 10 seasons in football, he averaged 72.1 catches a year. In his past three, his average is 92.7."

lets be realistic
He’s a great tight end that could play for 3 more seasons and be effective. But he’s the same as chiefs tony at best. A step slower who can still get open and catch balls. Ryan locked on to him a lot and sometimes forced it to him in double coverage. He caught em tho Tony is the man. But I would like to see him b more of a second & third option whos always open with white and douglas being the 1st looks. That would make the offense unstoppable.

I can't wait
until the cereal I ordered from him comes.
For extreme Rec accumulation, post a lengthy review with photos.

Yes. It will be Rec'd to oblivion
"Ryan, under center. Single receiver set, to either side. Ryan, gonna throw. First professional pass.....CAUGHT!! Jenkins! 30! 25! 20! 15! 10! 5! He lives in Atlanta!!!" -Wes Durham
Of course he's better now than he was at the Chiefs.
Look at it this way: who’s better, a TE with a mammoth total of 999 career receptions, or a TE who can only manage a pathetic 916 receptions?
I think you’ll find that’s how math works.
Also, Tony Gonzalez is a Falcon, whereas Old Tony Gonzalez was a Chief. So it’s pretty obvious which one is better.
I’m looking forward to Tony “1,000 receptions” Gonzalez – he’s gonna make the current Tony Gonzalez look like an amateur.
