William Moore Injures Pec, To Miss Mini-Camp
From Rotoworld, William Moore has an injured pectoral and will not be participating in this weekend's mini-camp. The good news is, the injury, which he got while working out, is minor, and he shouldn't need more than just some rest. The bad news is, this is another in a string of injuries that limited his play in his senior year at Missouri and effectively erased his rookie year with the Falcons. (Jonathan Babineaux will also be missing the camp this weekend with a shoulder injury.)
The question I have is, is Moore really this unlucky, or can he be classified now as "injury-prone"? What do you think?

Exactly.
If you know that your body isn’t that healthy you have to be careful and make sure you warm up correctly, but more importantly its what you do AFTER your workouts that keeps you healthy.
What you eat, drink and how you recover is important. Doing hot tubs then cold tubs helps the body’s muscles recover. If anything he needs to do this more than any other player.
Maybe him and Jerry should stick together after workouts.

You know, this begs another question...
Assuming WM learned his conditioning at school (Missouri), does that mean we need to be worrying about ’Spoon too?
that was one of the big reasons a "first round pick" fell into the second for us
The other being that he can’t backpedal or cover. I’m surprised everyone is immediately penciling him in as a starter, when this is effectively his rookie year after redshirting last year. Erik Coleman may not be great, but he’s not a liability, and incredibly consistent. Don’t be surprised if Moore only spells him this year.

I've gotta say...
I generally agree with you on this one…

Clarification...
I don’t know about his back pedaling and coverage skills, but I’m not so high on him taking over for Coleman for the other reasons you mentioned.

Depending on what the injury actually is
there could be very little to worry about. A strain or pull will be a few weeks of staying off heavy weights. He won’t miss any conditioning or other activities. As long as he didn’t tear anything, he will be fine.
LIfting injuries happen when you are pushing yourself or trying to hard. He wants to proove himself and just went a little too far. Be happy is was a pec injury, and not a leg injury again.
What a sissy.
Man up son this is the pros.

I swear we are the most injured team in the nfl every damn year. 2008 was our only decently healthy season I can remember since I became a falcons fan
I think William Moore needs to be called Demi Moore!
Put on some pads and hit somebody man! Next post about Moore (William Moore to miss 3-6 weeks with a pulled hamstring he got when flossing)!
