Your Tecmo Super Bowl Atlanta Falcons

Hey guys, The recent release of Tecmo Super Bowl: Throwback has inspired me to yet another interesting endeavor.

The game allows you to change the name of the players to faithfully recreate your favorite teams, since they could not legally do so themselves. So, after this jump thing (so it will get out of my way) I will break down the team and my idea.

My idea revolves around the same UStream idea that I had before with a few different changes. As a little fun idea for the season this fall, I have thought about streaming myself playing games against teams (with me painstakingly recreating each name on each team) that we'll be facing that week. It could potentially be against a human opponent, or maybe I'll just be stuck with the AI.

I'll have to research the legality of this (though to be brutally honest, streams of video games and youtubes of video games are everywhere, so I'm probably safe.) the only thing I'm worried about is the name changes and broadcasting those names, but I can just come up with (very recognizable) nicknames if that proves to be a problem.

Anywho, here's my roster. From what I understand, they're forcing me to play a 3-4 (damn you, tecmo) so I'll have to figure a way around the DL issue. I also have to figure out if I did the 1st string/2nd string stuff right, but we'll do that as we go. One last thing, the name thing wouldn't let me have more than 13 letters total with a max of 10 letters in either the first or last name, so some names were changed. Names mentioned below appear as entered into the game.

This roster is a bit predictive because it could end up different but for the time being, here it is:

QB- Matt Ryan, Chris Redman

RB- Michael Turner, Juice Norwood, Jason Snelling, Ovie Mughelli

WR- Roddy White, M. Jenkins, Harry Douglas, Kerry Meier

TE- Tony Gonzalez, J. Peelle

OL- Todd McClure (C), Justin Blalock (G), Harvey Dahl (G), Sam Baker (T), Tyson Clabo (T)

DL- John Abraham (DL), J. Babineaux (NT), Kroy Biermann (DL) (Boo you, tecmo. Babs wasn't made for that.)

LB- S. Stormspoon (Yes, stormspoon.), Curtis Lofton, S. Nicholas, Spencer Adkins. (Weatherspoon wouldn't fit.:( )

CB- Dunta Robinson, Chris Owens

S- William Moore, Thomas DeCoud

K- Matt Bryant

P- Michael Koenen

DB- (I have no clue what a DB is on this game) D. Franks, Eric Weems

I'm guessing DB is for special teams or something....since they're below K/P.

I may also still do the UStream audio only stream of myself in the fall, but I thought this might be a neat idea to do as well to energize the boring lead up to Sunday. What do you guys think?
