Being that there isn't much to talk about between now and the upcoming draft, it might be fun to toss around some potential pre-draft trades. As many of you might know Big Al was offered to the Eagles in the McNabb-to-Washington trade. The Eagles passed but rumors persist that he's still available. So should the Falcons make a run at the troubled but talented DT?
Pros:
-Haynesworth's talent is undeniable and adding him to our DT rotation along with Babs, PJ, and Walker is intriguing to say the least and should help take pressure off our DEs.
-Also his contract number are currently very reasonable: (PFT) With the Redskins paying defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth a $21 million bonus last week, we're told that the practical length and value of his contract is three years, $16 million, with $9 million guaranteed.
Cons:
-Albert is a bit of a headcase who has had some on field issues.
-Also, his production took a bit of a dive once he signed his big time deal although that might have more to do with the talent and prior coaching staff in D.C.
A trade for a proven veteran would not be out of character for the Comrade (see Tony G.). So should the Falcons make a run for him?
