The headline pretty much says it all, but give the AJC article a read.

Here's hoping for an open-air statium
Football should be played outdoors in the elements, not inside on glorified carpet.
BIG NEWS
The trade has been made!!!!! I hope it all works out

This:
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority, which oversees the Dome, has commissioned a study to determine the facility’s future, including building an open-air stadium.
…better happen. I want open-air football. This is the south. Players should actually sweat when they play.

Yeah i would like an open air stadium too
unless the elements are unbearable even for football conditions. (In the 2008 playoff game in Arizona, the Cardinals closed the roof to help lock in the noise – we could use that options as well).
However I’m curious to see anyone build a dome even for a basketball arena in which the roof is crystal clear, so it appears and almost feels like you are outside, but have the comfort of being on the inside.
i wish it wasn't downtown
that’s just me being selfish since I live in Alpharetta, but i hate driving down there for games. It’s not fun getting there. I would LOVE to see it in Doraville where the old GM plant was, but it sounds like that is becoming less and less likely.
