2010 NFL Free Agency Open Thread
Rather than crowd out the most important news of the day (that pertaining to the Falcons, of course), I thought I'd give you all an option to discuss other moves that have nothing to do with the Falcons but are still interesting. This is it.
After the jump, I'll jot down a few of the more interesting moves in the NFL today, tomorrow, and whenever. I'll also update as I go along. Jump in!
Panthers: Cut Jake Delhomme, will make Matt Moore their starting quarterback in 2010. Given how awful Delhomme was last year, this can only improve that team.
Bucs: Huge interest in Aaron Kampman.
Saints: About to ink awesome guard Jahri Evans to an enormous deal.
Cardinals: Cardinals refusing to give up Karlos Dansby. Smart money says he's going to the Dolphins, who are courting him as if he were a pretty 18th century duchess.
Lions: Ink pass rusher Kyle Vanden Bosch and WR Nate Burleson to big deals. Both offer an immediate boost, but will likely turn sour before the end of their contracts.
Team Julius Peppers: Peppers has drawn interest from the Eagles, Bears, and Patriots, to name a few. He's gone sooner than later.
More to come.

I thought it was interesting that the Panters cut half their defense, in addition to Delhomme (and losing Peppers).

Bears are the early winners of free agency
Locked up Chester Taylor and Brandon Manuelamanameltacheese at tight end, and they’re still in the hunt for Rolle and Peppers.

I hope Peppers falls off completely

I don't think you can call them the winners
Until they actually ink Peppers. And Daniel Snyder’s not going to take this lying down – Redskins have won the offseason superbowl like 5 years in a row. This isn’t over yet…

Wow, so much for the talk of him wanting to play in the 3-4. Supposedly the Bears gave him Millions (plural) more per year than what the Eagles or Patriots were offering ($12M per vs. about $10M).

at least the Redskins have won SOMETHING.
I guess we’ll see how Peppers fares in Chicago. Good thing we don’t play them twice a year.

Poor Jake...
Uh not so much. Dude’s getting paid and crying about it. Well one thing is for sure, the panties are taking a big step and a half back. They have no first round pick. That organization is pretty stoooooopid. There record is gonna be like 1-15

Oh yes
However, Matt Moore is going to be a huge upgrade. Gigantic. Monstrous.
