Dunta Robinson a good fit?
With Chris "look he got beat again" Houston now near the bottom of depth chart what do the Falcon faithful think of picking up Robinson in free agency? A lot of talk about Cromartie and he is a quality corner with great size but the hot/cold nature of his play and the off-the-field issues may deplete his worth a bit. I believe that CB should be a primary pick for the Falcons.

This may happen
Smitty faced this guy multiple times while coaching at Jacksonville. It would be a nice pick-up and really open up our draft options a bit.

Holy fargin' shaz
That came out of left field. With his contract demands I figured there was no way the Falcons would get him. If that’s true, then a pass rushing defensive end pretty much HAS to be the pick, right?

Biggest concern with Dunta is his very low interception totals
He’s getting plenty of tackles, so it’s not like teams aren’t throwing at him and he’s not involved out there. He had zero last year.

Well, my only counter would be this
That’s in seven seasons, and he had six his rookie year. That means he’s averaged about two in every other year. I just would hope he could snatch a few more if he came to Atlanta.

Seven seasons?
He’s that old?

that means he's probably on the downhill
why does he look less and less appealing every time someone types

Hey Dave...
Not sure is this is totally why, but Dunta does not seem to get throw at very much. I live in texas and get to see a lot of the Texans games… you just dont hear his name called very much, which is as much of a good thing as a bad thing for a corner! what do you think?
See, that's the kind of input that's valuable
I assumed that because his tackle totals were high, his target totals would be high as well. Perhaps I’m off.

Targeted 82 times (54 receptions): 65.9% completion against percentage
Guess who had a similar completion against percentage? Our favorite Razorback: Chris Houston (66.7%). I’ll say it again, Chris Houston v. 2.0.

I forgot Chris Houston was on our team again. I fail. Is it bad that I thought of Tye Hill before Chris Houston?

Yes
You should never think of Tye Hill

Epically bad in '09 and '08
He’s horrible against the run, and only slightly better than Houston against the pass. I’m not saying, I’m just sayin’ …

actually...
robinson is pretty damn good against the run and not afraid to tackle either. That is one reason why he has been banged up in recent years is because of all the big hits he absorbs from making tackles…
actually ...
He was horrible against the run in ‘09. I can’t speak to his willingness to tackle.

Franky's right
He likes to make the highlight hit (despite the fact that his man gained positive yards on him). Post-injury, he doesn’t wrap up. He was once a sure-tackler, but something happened to where he stopped wrapping up.
There was a play where he made a big tackle on a 2 yard screen, celebrated, and Manning caught him on a hurry up for a first down.
Dunta is from Athens GA
Scheffler rates him as the no 3 free agent in this year’s batch behind only Peppers and Dansby
He’s always open. He catches a lot of balls. He’s un-guardable, no matter how old he is
Scheffler is an idiot ... and I've been to Athens, people who are FROM there are a little creepy
