What about TO?

What about TO? I would not mind seeing him in an Atlanta Falcon's jersey. He proved last year that he could play and keep his mouth shut. I say give him a two year contract and see how it goes. - We could use another deep threat. - He has a few more good years left in him. - After Tony G. leaves (maybe after one more year) we will need a vet in the locker room.

T.O.

Sad to say but comparing Jenkins to T.O. Clearly there is no comparison. Especially under playoff experience. If you add CJ or Mcknight to replace Norwood.A great upgrade offensively. With a schedule this year thats not so challenging.

honestly i wouldnt object at all. the fact that he remains unsigned means we could probably get him for a reasonable price, and maybe, just maybe, he could fix whats wrong with mr jenkins

I appreciate the suggestion

But I’d rather pound a pint of paint thinner.

T.O. is a diminishing talent who is still carrying a ton of baggage, one uneventful year in Buffalo aside. He’s not as willing a blocker as Michael Jenkins and he’d serve to bump either our most capable blocker or a promising younger receiver (Harry Douglas) down the depth chart. If we signed him to a multi-year deal, there’s no guarantee that the wheels won’t come off or he won’t be a malcontent when he’s not playing for a contract. I can’t imagine the team making this move.

well ...

As orang3b pointed out to me a while back, while Jenks has always been known as an above average blocker, he was actually a pretty horrible blocker last year (according to Pro Football Focus – 63/78 of WRs who played 50% of their team’s offensive snaps – T.O. was 69/78).

Duly noted

But T.O. still wouldn’t be an improvement, it appears.

At this point, I don’t think TO would even be an improvement as a receiver. (Owens, Jenkins)

So right

I couldn’t agree with you more Dave. No need to sign TO at all.

I think

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit…. this is a joke, right?

To T.O.s credit

he did have the longest play from scrimmage last year, even at 75 years old.

Say what you want about the man and his attitude, but he keeps himself in incredible shape.

I wouldn’t suddenly hate the Falcons if we were to sign him, but I’m not advocating it either.

As cool as it seems...

to have a guy from my favorite minor league college UTC on my favorite NFL team, I don’t think it’s a good idea

Not sure

if Owens is the answer, but I strongly believe we have to address the WR position. Douglas should bounce back from injury and impress but we desperatly need another presence besides White/T-Gon. I was hoping to nab K. Walter but the Texans we’re smart. Who know’s…maybe Fin will come back and give us 35-50…hopefully. It just seemed we had our hands tied behind our backs alot last year with lack of talent at that position..aka Marty Booker.

As much as I like his quotes, I think he’s over the hill.
