Jerry Glanville has a lot of nerve
To hear him tell it, he saved Favre's life and his career. I don't buy it

He just didn't like Favre
Nice revisionist history, Jerry.

Glanville's overselling his altruistic nature,...
…but my recollection is similar. I think he needed the wake-up call in order to develop.
Having lived in Wisconsin during that period, the taverns were open EVERY night until 1:00 AM.
How many more days, Lord, must I walk through the wilderness?
I doubt the Taverns in Wisconsin were comparable to the nightlife in Atlanta. I remember an ESPN special several years back focusing on big GM mistakes, but justifying the decisions based on what the GMs knew at the time. They interviewed quite a few folks about Favre’s partying ways, and he basically showed up to the Falcons severely overweight with work ethic issues (related to his nightly partying). I don’t think this is revisionist history!

Glanville is in his own little world
He had no idea of how to acess or use the talent that he had. He put some of his best players in his “dog house” and sat them out for several games at a time. The fans hated the guy for his decision making. some of it coming on game day and affecting the outcome of games. I am beginning to wonder if maybe he wasnt the one with the drinking problem.
