UNDERATED FALCONS
okay falcons fans, since my last post was so succesful lets try a new topic. lets talk about the most underated falcons. since everytime i see a video with "the biggest hits" "the best players" awesome football plays", on youtube and fail to see atleast one falcons clip in any of those. i mean i know that we havent had the best seasons in the past, but come on we have had some good seasons so what the hell. although i think we may have turned the tide this year. daunta robinson had one stop and that was us. i think we might be able to grab ne talent we want since we showed we are an up and coming team that can take the SB for the next three to four years at least. so i will show my views after the jump.
curtis lofton is at the top of my list. darn near a rookie has been racking up the tackles since the first time he has started. he is a beast and young. ovie mughelli is underated because FB's are underated. he can do everything. everything well that is. next is our cb brent grimes. he is short and he may have had a lot of percentages of people catching on him, BUT he is young and hasnt played a lot in his three years. he is the sterio typical black astronaut when it comes to verticals. he is also good at putting himslef in the right position the intcpt the ball. last is larwence sidbury. a lot of people are saying DE DE DE for the first pick in next months draft, the few times he has played he has exeled (look at his beast play against the bills) he raped the ball away from their RB and then took it to the house six yards away with three enemies hanging off of him. (also if he can keep out of trouble and not snickelfritzed off of weed, then babineux will be a hard hitting mother father. that is my views as i sit here drunk as a skunk. post your views and happy late st. pattys day.

current or ever?
In the ever category I nominate Elbert Shelley. The guy was a special teamer for the most part but had more special team tackles than most guys had tackles. He was a hard hitter too and punished people on kickof and return coverage.
In the current category I nominate Snelling. I know he is not a starter, but I still say he could start for a lot of teams. He is a punisher and a beast who likes to hammer people when he has the ball. He reminds me of Jamal. Maybe a Jamal light. LOL!

LOL
good comment. i guess i should say that you can nominate current and past players, although i would have to brush up on my falcons history. i could see snelling, he has stellar games. he seems like a sickly turner. which isnt a dis. because whats a god with a cold.

Hey Mardy,
Are you gonna actually keep the same name if we don’t get pick Gilyard? Because at this point it would suck if you did.

If Mardy ever changes his screen name for any reason, all is lost.
I hope it stays the same 6 years from now, when Mardy Gilyard is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

here we go
maybe not most underated ever but bob christain, now i know falcons fan didn’t underate him but i thought when he was playing he never got the respect from the league he deserved
now would have to be DeCoud, i hear ppl saying all the time we need safties and ive even seen mock drafts saying we’re gonna pick in the 1st round hoping they can start next year, i love the way the guy plays and hope he’s in Falcons uniform for a long time
On the current team....
For me, without a doubt, Jonathan Babineaux. A DT who led the team in sacks, among the league leaders in tackles for loss, and still didn’t make the pro bowl.
Check this out on PFF
Hint: Babs is at the top of the list. Check out his “stops”.
If I knew weed could make me play football like that
I wouldn’t have quit smoking it.

100% agree; it's Babs.
Not nearly on the same level, but I think Stephen Nicholas could be considered underrated. I thought he was pretty good last season – I don’t really think he needs to be “upgraded”, like I’ve seen mentioned in several mock drafts. Actually, I’m thinking (hoping) he’s about to have a break-out type year.

Yes. Jonathan Babineaux was the best player on our team last year. Top 5 at his position at least.

Claude Humphry on the old side.
Currently, I think Ovie Mughelli.
For your screen name, TommyNobis1stFalconsPick.

Chris Redman
has been a very good backup QB for a guy who was out of the game. As for your pen name, how about juliojones1stfalconspick?
omg
your trying to give me a stroke, right?

A stroke?...nah
Maybe just a mild case of hypertension. Actually that type of reaction is what I’m referring to. He helped us win a few games we could have easily lost last year but he gets no respect. I’m not saying he’s terrific but he is one of the few moves Petrino made that turned out well…maybe the only one
Leaving. Bobby Petrino leaving was his best move.
I’d pay to see it again!

I'd pay
to put my size 11 foot square up his keester and leave my shoe in there when I pulled my foot back out.

That line almost made me spit
my coffee all over my desk…not that you you could tell the difference.
I don’t blame you for feeling the way you do though. Theres no excuse for players being rude to fans, especially kids
maybe he can go to detroit
with his buddy Meh.

oh
and Redman didnt beat anybody worth a hill of beans. In my opinion he is pretty much worthless. I hope he isnt on the roster this year at all. I have a personal grudge against the guy anyway for the way he dissed my son last year.
