An ideal offseason pickup

Well everyone is talking about who to draft. i say that in the first, we get kindle OLB and a TE in the third. I know defense is a need but wait and read my thoughts. inthe free angency. we need to pick up daunta robinson at the CB spot and Kampman would be a nice DE pickup. (Replacing two draft bust that we have).

Front four: Abraham, Jerry, Babineuix, and Kampman* (of couse use bierman and sidbury in the rotation)

Backers: Curtus Lofton, mike peterson and kindle* (with nicholas in the rotation)

Corners: Brent grimes and Daunta Robinson* (christopher Owens in the nickel and rotation)

Up Top: i like Coleman and DeCoud

And get the TE so Gonzo could show him how to be a TE in the NFL.

Yikes ...

Kampman will be 31 this year.

Why would Nicholas lose his starting spot?

Dunta’s injury history is downright frightening, plus he’s looking for 23 millionish guaranteed.

Yeah, I’m very strongly in the “no” camp on Dunta.

too rich

I agree, Kampman is Abe’s age and Duanta is very expensive and has had some attitude issues here in Texas. I like resigning Brian Williams, and if there are still 2-3 highly graded players on the board when the falcons pick, trade down a few spots to pick up a second round pick, then bring a TE and LB with the next 2 picks.

I don't think you make a FA move

until after the draft. We have a lot of needs so I think you get the best available OLB, CB, DE and possibly OL in each round then look at free agents. Kindle would be nice but he could be gone by the time we pick. And to answer Franky, Nicholas is an Ok sub but not exactly impressive as a starter. I think we need to upgrade there one way or another if our defense is going to shut people down. TE is pretty far down the list for me right now

Not a good idea

If you wait until after the draft to sign a free agent almost 2 months would have passed since the beginning of free agency. Remember, free agency starts March 5th. You’d be looking at a very thin free agent pool.

Remember,

We have Justin Peele, and a sophomore Zinger at TE. I’m sure Zinger has been working hard with Tony G. I stick to our guns with CB and OLB, maybe an OL if a solid one falls in our lap.
