The Falcons one and only F/A pickup

So as we all know, with the TD MS regime we always grab one good mid veteran at a key spot... see Michael turner, and Tony G. Then instead of wasting money on more free agents that might take carries away from younger kids with more potential we grab from the draft. Personally i love the plan, build from the draft, not injury prone, money wanting, vets (not that they are all like that) So after a quick study i shall reveal my one pick for our FA pickup, after the jump over the stump while watching forest gump.

Now that my aweful pointless ryhme is over lets get to the thinkin part of this post. At first i thought a RB would be a good pick up, with our RB's struggling to stay healthy over the past two years. After seeing who was gonna be out there i was excited. There is talent like jamaal charles, michael bush, and darren sproles.....we will come back to these guys. At WR most all of the big names that are up there will prolly be picked back up.

Next, with TE's i think this position would be my second choice in FA pick up (along with a midround draft pick to get another) If tony G is leaving us next year, i dont think peele would be a good starter. We have a good rookie in micheal palmer, but no good vet receiving TE. I think that is one of the components of out Offense that helps us win. There are players like mercedes lewis, bo scaife, vernon davis, and tony scheffler.

Then, I looked at de's but then thought, "NAH we have too much young talent to grab a FA".

Lastly i looked at o line, but again i think we will draft early for that.

So what is my pick that i promised you....Darren Sproles. The one thing that i think this team needs is a weapon. What do i mean by weapon. Someone who can run, catch, do end arounds, special teams, even throw the ball. Sproles fits most of those charicteristics. He could help on punt returns, take some carries off our RB's hands to keep them healthy. Also pick up some receptions, which is what TD and MS have been workin on this season that seems to be working well. IF we dont pick up sproles or even if we do, I think the falcons first draft pick next year needs to be a weapon, or as close to one as possible. So fellas, discuss, cut my opinions down, praise them, and make your own pick. have fun.
