Brent Grimes:

Brent Grimes is one of the most exciting, High Risk and High Reward players in the entire Defense. He is an aggressive ball hawk and a perfect Number 2 CB to compliment the Dunta Robinson who is solid but not too flashy.  Grimey is arguably one of the most promising CB in the league right now. If not for the 4 touchdowns and poor Redzone coverage he could have been Falcons top CB and probably a top 10-15 CB in the NFL. He is probably the guy whom the opposing teams plan the most; he has been targeted on 20% of the total Pass attempts against the Falcons.  Go ahead and rate Grimes based on the numbers below.

 Good:

1.    Interceptions, Interceptions and Interceptions.  He can jump really high and pluck the ball out of thin air, just ask Drew Brees .

2.   Completion% of 56.89% is the lowest among all the CB's in the team.

3.   Game changing plays.

4.   Much Better YAC numbers this year compared to last year.

Bad:

1.   Accounts for 4/16 Receiving TDs (25% of Falcons Receiving TDs and 57% of TDs given up by Falcons CBs).

2.   Redzone Defense. He is a soft target in the coverage especially against tall receivers.

Overall Grade: B-

Chris Owens:

Chris Owens is taking a step backwards in his sophomore year. This might be part of the maturation processes and taking it to next level. He has been a disappointment so far this season.

Brian Williams:

He is little better than Chris Owens and is being used in the Blitzing schemes. He is the only CB on the team with a Sack and 4QB Pressures.
