Falcons Captain Of The Tailgate
If there's one thing we at SB Nation love, it's a sponsored post. If there's one thing we love more, it's a sponsored post that gives us the opportunity to talk about food, beer and grilling in a parking lot. Oh yeah.
For the next few weeks, we're going to have sponsored posts from Captain Morgan and discuss your tailgating habits. If you're like me and don't get the chance to do so often, feel free to talk about what you prepare for the game. This week, we're kicking off with a food-centric post.
What's the best food for tailgating? What do you cook or demand to have cooked when you go? For my money, nothing beats hot dogs or brats hot off the grill. Sure, burgers or fancier fare like chicken or ribs are delicious, but
I'm not standing in a parking lot with beer and a bunch of people in jerseys so I can enjoy a fine entree and a glass of 1876 vintage, damnit.
Tell us about your tailgating habits and nominate your best food item.

No true tailgating for me;
I have to resort to something strange.
Watching games from here on the west coast, I have to get up at 9am to start eating and drinking before the game starts at 10am. I’d get up earlier, but that’s early enough for a night owl.
I have to be picky about what I eat because of what I drink. I’ll discuss drinks when the drinks post comes out (ooo, the anticipation is killing you all, I know).
I need to eat a big breakfast, and that’s either a footlong from subway, an omelette at the sports bar, or something I’ve tried cooking myself that resembles eggs, sausage, and toast. So except for the sandwich, it’s all typical breakfast food.
If I was lucky enough to tailgate with Dave, I’d eat what he’s having. Sounds good!
The only Falcons fan in Los Angeles? The Billionth Lakers fan in Los Angeles? Either way, I'm happy.
I like to make me some "hobo's"
Which is potatoes, corn, cut up steak and chicken, in a foil wrap with some butter and A-1 added in, then throw the wraps on the grill and let them cook up! Also, foil wrapped corn on the cob on the grill and of course with the dogs, brats and burgers thrown on that grill too. Thats why I got me a triple decker grill!! Oh and of course can’t eat none of this food without my coors light!!

Yeah, thats me.
Pulled Pork Shoulder goes with everything.
It’s fine as it is. Makes a great stuffing for a baked potato. Warm some corn tortillas, get some wicked salsa and cheese, and you have some authentic barbacoa tacos. Saute some onions and peppers, warm up the Cheese Whiz, and you have the makings of a Deep South “cheesesteak”.
