In need of a 2nd round pick...

Darft season... and we're stuck without a 2nd rounder... how about Jamaal Anderson to KC for our 2nd round pick. Obviously not very useful to our team, but maybe suited well for their 3-4 scheme... throw in Chauncey Davis as well to seal the deal. I'm very happy with Bierman and Sidbury in the line up. With a 2nd round pick we could go either DE/DB in the 1st or 2nd, take the best available at either postion. Maybe we could bait SD with these guys to give up Merrimen? He'd work in our 4-3 as a DE... How about Julius Peppers...no way they'd deal him in the division...

The problem with that is

They probably know how unproductive JA98 has been. Chauncey may be the deal-maker in that deal. However, if they bite on it, it would be a fantastic trade for us (and potentially them too). Beerman is going to be bigger and better next year, and Sid will be better as well.

Merriman’s been hurt the past couple seasons, and Peppers work ethic has been questioned. I’m not sure we’d take a risk on either of them.

If this deal went down, I could see Kyle Wilson @19 and Weatherspoon or a DE at the KC pick. That would be pretty good in my book. That’s before Senior Bowl analyzation, mind you all.

But with Moore/DeCoud safety is not a priority…

Our DL is already undersized...

Trading our two best run stopping DE to get another undersized DLman is a bad idea…

KC wouldnt trade their 2nd rd again (cassel last yr)

BUT I am hoping for a glen dorsey for Jamaal anderson trade, and wouldnt mind us giving up our #4, kyle wilson is NOT going in the 1st rd.

You'd be hard pressed to find a team that would offer more than a fourth rounder for JA98.

We should keep JA98. He’s only 23 years old!!! Restructure his deal and keep him around, maybe not start him b/c he is unproven but I don;t think we should just quit on him yet…

You may be the only one who wants him here. He has done nothing on this team except eat up cash. After three years with no production it’s time to let him go.
