what i think the falcons should do this off season

i think  the falcons this off season should make some big moves i know that the gm basically said already they would be wise with spending their money, but in my opinion if you want to win a superbowl sometimes you have to open up the check book to make that dream happen.I would like to see the falcons trade for wide receiver brandon marshall i think maybe if they ship micheal jenkins,a 2011 2nd or 1st round selection[preferably 2nd] and also trade them jamal anderson i think they could get him.i would like to see them sign either the panthers julius peppers or the giants osi umenyiora if they are available in free agency to bolster the pass rush.i think the falcons should add one corner in free agency and add one in the draft and add some depth and bring in in free agency or the draft 2 more wide receivers if there are any tight ends add one so gonzo can mentor him to be his heir apparent.if the falcons bring back jerious norwood i think they should take a hard look at moving him to wide receiver in the slot or try to put more of a effort in moving him around all over the field alot more than they did  before i think he has the deep speed to beat just about any linebacker or safety on deep routes he has good hands for a runningback and he is physical enough at 5-10 205 thats what i think the falcons should do what do you think they should do this off season? thoughts.

I agree we should weaponize Norwood, if we get him back

Using him purely as a back-up running back is unimaginative.

The thing about Norwood is

Every opponent doesn’t like him in their secondary. Problem is with his injury, and our O-Line occasional issues, he can’t get to the secondary. So yes, I would agree to at least explore that possibility if Norwood is kept.

It's just interesting to me

That in the limited time both of them played this season, Snelling was utilized more as a pass-catching back than Norwood. He’s got good hands, but he can’t take it and sprint downfield like Norwood can. Another question for Mike Mularkey, I suppose.

I just read

That the Falcons only have $8 million in cap space for next year. That’s around the 5th smallest in the league. I don’t know the exact ins and outs of how cap space works, but we may not be able to do ANYTHING next year if it’s not an uncapped year. Just food for thought.

I have a feeling the Falcons will dump a contract, if that's the case

Jamaal Anderson and Chris Houston are a couple of possibilities.

Wouldn't be surprised...

If Jamaal isn’t a Falcon next year. I could see resigning him, but for nothing larger than league minimum.

Check my band out on iTunes. The band name is Legend Has It and the album is titled "Driven." Let me know what you think.

capp....

I look for Abe to be either cut or traded and JA98 and Houston to either re-structure or be released.

None of this makes sense...

If you read your post you are saying you will fill every hole on the team. There is no way the Falcons will pick up marshall, peppers, osi or any big name free agent thats just a fact. They haven’t had a big name free agent signing in a long time. Yes we did get Turner but he hardly had the rep of an osi, peppers or marhsall. Plus Marshall has attitude issues that I’d rather not deal with. Trading 2 first round picks ( JA98 and jenkins) and a first rounder or even a second rounder is insane. First off JA98 is only 23 years old. Restructure his contract and keep him around, getting rid of a 23 year old first rounder with playing experience is not wise. We need to give him at least two more seasons to see if he can develop. No way Carolina would trade peppers in division. If anything I think if they are going to shake things up they may have to deal Abe. Open the door for younger players like biermanm, davis, and sidbury. I like what they are doing with building through the draft there is no reason to lock up a ton of money in 3 guys and then have cap issues later and have to get rid of younger more talented guys. (If the CBA gets worked out). Just be patient we will go the path of the Colts and Patriots and be a playoff team every year.

i agree we dont sign any of those

but the panthers wouldn’t be trading peppers, he’d be a free agent not sure if its unrestricted or not

staying with what we have

As nice as it would be to get Peppers or Osi…you bankrupt this team
for at least three years to come. Just maybe, if he stays healthy…bring
in Torry Holt for the occasional slot route. Maybe it pushes Jenkins to
pick up his concentration, for if nothing else, Torry will bring intensity and
work ethic to this group. After all…it never hurts to increase our ability
to catch.
