Yahoo's Top NFL Owners
Yahoo has up an article listing their owner "power rankings" and our beloved Arthur Blank clocks in at #14. Kind of interesting, though I don't know that 1. I agree with these or 2. that I really follow this enough to know one way or another. I do know that I live in Dallas and while I think no one wants his team to win more than Jerry Jones, he also has screwed that team in a million different ways as its GM, which would seem to me to put him well below #2. I also think Blank has been an awesome owner, he just made a few mistakes, but I think we are on the right track now.

That list
Was pretty awful, if you ask me. I don’t know about their contributions to Collective Bargaining, or the TV contracts, etc – but his main question for ranking them was this:
If you were a fan of this team, how would you feel about having this person in charge of the franchise?
I could see Blank a little higher than #14, but anywhere in the top half is pretty good…
Kraft (New England) at #1 is ok I guess, but if the Rooney’s (Steelers) aren’t #1, they certainly should be #2.
I agree Jerry Jones (Cowboys) is way too high, and for the same reasons I think Dan Snyder (Redskins) is too high. They meddle too much instead of trusting their football guys (coaches, scouts) to make the decisions. Heck, I’d probably put Snyder in the bottom 10, not top 10…
Hard to argue with Al Davis (Raiders) and Mike Brown (Bengals) bringing up the rear.
Ralph Wilson (Buffalo) seems a little low, but I’m not sure who I’d move him above. All those in the middle third are about the same to me…
