Just out of curiosity...
Am I the only one here who does not play fantasy football?

Naw
I love it, personally, and I’ve been trying to mix a little more of it into the site. Let me know if it’s too much.

Yeah, it's gotten to be pretty all-consuming
As long as you keep the proper perspective (i.e. not wanting your fantasy team to win over your actual team), it’s gravy.

is it bad, that since Matt Ryan is my starting QB
I won’t mind if the game gets out of hand and he has to throw 5 touchdown passes to keep pace… I mean… as long as the Falcons still get the win, right?
know what you believe in and why you believe in it
I have to say
I can’t get into fantasy football but that is probably because i was raised on the good ol’ fashioned hate of the teams that played against whoever my family and I were rooting against, (especially the [Gasp!] 49er’s/Cowboys games when it was Young vs. Aikman) I have a distant relative who was a prominent coach for several teams, Niners included) that notwithstanding, I can admire certain players but even if I like the player(s), I am still going to hope they get knocked out of the game so they do no damage to the team I want to win. Falcons being the most prominent of course, I do have hometown pride. All in all, as much fun as fantasy football might be, I just do not want to feel conflicting emotions if my # 1 running back is playing the Falcons and it comes down to choosing whether or not he gets so many points vs. the Birds stopping him on a 4th and Goal. I will say though fantasy articles are still great reading for unheard of stats and nuggets about why somebody might not be the best to play that week for some reason. (Injuries, particular defenses being good at one thing or another, and so forth.) But please do not think I am knocking anybody for playing, I guess I just prefer to watch and read about the teams I love.
