William Middleton, a sleeper pick at cornerback in this year's draft, is heading to the Jaguars and may actually move up the ranks there pretty quickly. What a rotten day.

Dear Dave,

I’d greatly appreciate it if you could end the day with no more bad news to report.

I believe I speak for the whole community on this one.

Thank you.

Dear MentallyMIA,

Your letter has been considered. Unfortunately, there is nothing but bad news to report. We regret to inform you that today—indeed, the duration of our lifetimes—are nothing but cold, empty and dark wastelands of pain and regret.

Thanks for your e-mail.

Regards,
Management

I'm not an optimist

You should know that by now. It’s great to be 2-0, but I’ll keep fretting away. Don’t hate me!

Long term Falcoholism tends to do that to a man.

You have opinions. We all do. Some of yours may have to do with the Falcons. Sign up today and share them.

MentallyMIA:
I do believe that this was an opportunity for a young man that just wants to play football, but was no given a chance in Atlanta, except for being bounced. I always say things happen for a reason and I wish him the best. Because my personal opinion is something I wish I could share with you. (smile)

honestly

I was just disappointed to see him go. A year on the practice squad for someone in his shoes would have truly helped develop him into a serious play-maker. Especially taking snaps in practice competing against one of the top offenses in the NFL.

I truly do wish him the best, it’s just a shame that he won’t be lighting it up in Falcons red&black when he finally does get his opportunity.

Yeah ...

I’m sure the Jags hated not having them in the line-up for their game yesterday!

Oh, and hello! I’m a first-time poster/long-time lurker here!

so?

do you expect us to welcome you or something… you picked the wrong day to look for a happy welcome.

lol, I keed, I keed.

Welcome to the site :)

I think the Jags are missing Smitty much more than they are missing any player in particular at this moment. If he had went from DC to HC over there, they would very likely be in our shoes right about now.

Not so fast

You must have Smitty plus the Comrade to fill these shoes we are in right now….

So basically

Another team can sign a guy off your practice squad at any time? I say good for Middleton although I’m sure he’s getting tired of all the movement considering this is his 3rd team already and he’s only 2 games into his rookie year
