Petrino Hate Week

Hello fellow Falcoholics.  I'm a long time participant here, but have been pretty quiet lately as I've been focusing more on my own site.  I had a quick question and wanted to see what the general response was.

Star-divide

From my online tag, I'm obviously a UGA alum.  Everyone should know that UGA travels to Arkansas this week to square off with our favorite coach of all time.  I also realize that since the Falcons are based in Atlanta that many Falcons supporters consist of Georgia Tech alums and supporters.  My question to my fellow Falcoholics that support the Yellow Jackets is this;  Would you consider postponing Clean, Ole' Fashioned Hate for one Saturday in order to see some sort of retribution against this snake in the grass from a Georgia based team?  Poll is below and comments as always are welcome.

Poll
As a Georgia Tech supporter, would you postpone some Clean, Ole' Fashioned Hate this weekend if it meant supporting the Bulldogs to beat Bobby Petrino?
I'll be openly rooting for the Dawgs this weekend as I hate that man with all that is unholy inside me.

I'll wear red this Saturday, but will be burning it on Sunday.

Absolutely not. To hell with Georgia.

I'm not a college football guy

But I will gladly root against Petrino in almost any situation.

Being a Bama fan, the puppies are never high on my list of support.

But all that flies out the window with Petrino facing off against UGA and his Uglies. Hopefully Cox has grown and will tear the pigs a new one.

GO DAWGS!

Not violent enough

String him up like Mussolini!

Yep, I remember 'hemorrhage', and 'embolism', and even 'detached retina'...
It sounded scary, but when you smell the goal line, they're only words. Just words.

Not ever have the lines been so blurred

How dare you sir, attempting to play my rooting interests against one another! But I’d be lying if I said it isn’t working because, of all of the polls that have been put forth thus far, not one has made me wish I could vote for all the options at once. Good job on that one.

Here’s the thing, while I relish each and every u(sic)ga loss, I also want them to be undefeated when we play so that it means that much more. Most mutt lovers I know have mentioned the same sentiments with respect to GT. Clean, Ole’ Fashioned Hate deserves having both teams in top form each year, so if that means that you guys need the extra support from the GT crowd, then possibly so be it. Just know that with every TD you guys score, I will congratualte and promptly declare my hatred of you even more vile than the last.

I will admit though, that Petrino is worse than putrid pond scum, so if only for a brief moment in time, I will root for you guys. Just don’t expect much of it to be in a public and open forum.

Hope UGA slaughters them

Anything, anytime, that takes Putrino down a notch, I’m all for. Though I’m a GT alum, I actually pull for UGA when they’re not playing Tech (the years have mellowed me).

Hell has frozen over....

Not only will I be rooting for UGA (I usually follow them, I like to think of them as a sister school to FSU), but I hope UF clobbers the U of Tenn by 70…..I wanna see Kiffin crying on the sideline…

I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.

Screw Petrino - Go Dawgs

You know, this made me think I’d like to see a poll of Falcoholic college allegiances. Maybe I’ll post something like that during our bye week. I’m betting you’d see a lot of Tech, UGA, Auburn with FSU, Alabama, Clemson not too far behind.

I'm guaranteed to be a statistical outlier

Since I root for a Division I-AA team in New England…

Hey Dave

Since you live in New England will you be going to the game? That’d be sweet.

Tech and UGA are not the only GA schools...

I am attending Georgia State University (another Div I-AA team) so my loyalty is squarely with the falcons, and not with GT or UGA, i honestly only watch these two teams when they are playing each other. BUT anybody who puts a whipping on Petrino like UGA did gets a free pass and my viewership until the good vibes from handing Benedict Arnold of the South a defeat wears off. That said GO FALCONS.

Next year there be 2 teams playing home games in the Dome

GSU football is going to put a hurt on Tech attendance in my opinion.

Wow, Georgia destroyed em.

Go Dawgs. Makes the upcoming Bama/Arky game seem like another scrimmage for the Tide.
