Mike Vick Preseason Debut and Dec. 6th

So for those of you who saw the much-hyped preseason debut of MV7 last night, did he manage to strike just a little bit of fear into your hearts around the impending Dec. 6th showdown?

Star-divide

Now don't get me wrong.  I'm 99% sure that Matt Ryan is the better QB (we'll never see Vick reach his true potential) and I'm also convinced this is a game we should be able to take at home to make a statement about our standing in the NFC.

But I can't help but have nightmares about MV7 running rampant in the Wildcat formation, putting his new team over the top against his old one.  And by the way, how fitting would that be when the Falcons have been nothing but supportive of him over the years, the ungrateful bastard.  But I digress.....

Bottom line is, we HAVE to win this game.  A loss would only stir up all of the knuckleheads who refuse to acknowledge that we have moved on from the Vick era and that the Matty Ice era promises that we'll be in the Super Bowl picture for years to come.

Thoughts?

well

This game is no more important than it was before Kciv got there. We have to win this game for the reason you stated, to show how strong of a contender we are in the NFC. They’re one of the best teams in the NFC because of McNabb, Westbrook, and Reid not because of Kciv. We, as a franchise, have moved on. Whether kciv wins a Super Bowl, goes to the Pro Bowl, or Come back player of the year we are in a much better situation than we were 3 years ago. You could says its because of drafting Ryan or signing Turner but I think it’s because of Mike Smith, Thomas Dimitrof, Rich McKay, and Arthur Blank. Our Falcons are headed in the right direction now that we have the right MEN leading the way. I’m prouder to be a Falcoholic today than I have been my whole life and kciv being on the Eagles and beating us Dec 6th won’t change that one damn bit.

It was truly odd to see him in a different uniform

I’m not going to lie, it weirded me out for a minute. But I think that he’ll be an effective weapon for them this year and nothing more. If we blast the Eagles or we keep him from doing anything, that’ll shut everyone up.

However, if McNabb is doing his required yearly stint on the Active PUP list...

And he leads the Eagles over to a win over us as a starter, the idiots cry will be louder than a tortured, howling dog. If we can’t learn to stop a mobile QB before then, Lord help us…

I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three.

After watching the Eagles fans cheer on Vick’s pass completion, I suddenly realized why I have never liked the Philly team and detested their fans. This is a team who’s fans boo Santa Claus and cheer Michael Vick. That says it all…………

do you remember?

Philly is the city of brotherly love or did you become a bucs fan and forgot? So.. they were showing the citi’es reputation so shut up and cheer for Vick that he will do great

I know Vick's a touchy subject, everyone

But let’s keep it civil. Some of us wish him well, some of us don’t, and nobody’s likely to change anybody’s opinion on that score.

We have to win

I too fear having to hear all of the Mv7 nut huggers opinions if somehow Philly wins that game, which by the way, will NEV ER happen.

I'll remember this

So as to have somewhere to place blame if we do lose that game.

"This is America, if we can’t self-righteously look down on others and blame them for our faults, the commies win."-----Cormican on Bleeding Green Nation w/r/t fans overreacting to the Eagles signing of Michael Vick

Did I Mention?

I’m feeling a lot better about Dec. 6th after watching the Iggles’ final preseason game last night. Man that was ugly with a capital “U”. I shall not broach the topic of MV7 again this year.

Go Falcs!!!
