You joined The Falcoholic?
As I've seen a whole lot of new faces around the blog and with the start of the '09 season around the corner, I was curious as to how long people have been blogging here on the Falcoholic. I know we've done a more formal version of this with charts and graphs and everything, but I'm looking to just get an idea of how long everyone has been blogging, reasons for joining, etc. Join after the jump to get it going.
I've been blogging here on and off since May of '08, and I joined because the "official" blogs on the Atlanta Falcons website were full obscenity and wanting on true content. Dave did a good job of keeping everything clean and humorous and here we all are.
This FanPost was written by one of The Falcoholic's talented readers. It does not necessarily reflect the views of The Falcoholic.

for pretty much the exact same reasons you listed, that and because the zombie robots made me do it.

I think anyways. This was one of the few Falcon only sites that stayed updated, so here I is.
That's a ringing endorsement!

From me, it is
I have the attention span of a three year old with a chocalate IV, so if you aren’t putting something out there for me to read consistently, I’m going to forget about you and move on. Sure, there are Atlanta sports centric sites, but I was looking for something more dedicated. It’s probably a good thing too, as most of the sites I use to frequent have closed shop.
Either way, the best endorsement I can give this site is that its constituents are very knowledgeable and we don’t allow any nonsense, helping the site stay troll-free. And, even though you are a yankee, you are definitely one of best damned Falcons writers out there. Now if we could only get you down to the south…
Newbie - June of this year
Because I have enjoyed other SB Nation blogs for college teams, I figured I would give this one a try as a lifetime Falcons fan. I have not been disappointed despite joining during the dog days of summer. Keep up the great work.
I joined in November 2008
I was in Iraq at the time and the Army is infested with Cowboys fans and I am yet to meet a Falcons fan in the service. Like most of you, I found little substance in the falcons website official blog as the bloggers were lacking the integrity that a smaller community like this one offers.
Dave does a great job keeping this site updated with new and intriguing content that easily chumps the AJC and other “official sources”.
Also… I like you guys. I ain’t going anywhere.
know what you believe in and why you believe in it
Yet to find a Falcon fan?
Have you been stationed anywhere in Georgia?! I’m at Stewart, and we’ve got tons of Falco’s.

I think that is where MIA is currently
But then again, you Army pogues get lost in revolving doors, so go figure, haha!

Today and i am counting the days until 8-15 vs detroit. Bummer about Douglas. he was primed to put up some good numbers plus we’ll miss the return aspect to his game.

I've been here since October of 2006 or so
When I, um, started the site. You’re all kind to credit me, but the real strength of this community is the discussion generated after you’re all done reading my lazy, ill-informed posts. Keep it up!

If my profile is right
It was February of this year. Sounds about right. Starving for football (right after the Super Bowl no less), I stumbled upon this site… Dave (and now tloz, and really all you guys) kept me coming back – now you can’t get rid of me!!
That would be your global SBN account creation date
If you created your account specifically to join The Falcoholic, then yes, that would be when you joined. Or you could be like some of us longer members who had an account back when you had to have a separate account for each SBN site, like myself. Which, thinking about it now, I must have joined back in early 07 because it was definitely before we drafted Ryan.

Actively posting since. I am a full blown Falcoholic at this point. This is a great source of news and thought provoking discussion. Between the Falcoholic, AF.com, ESPN, and the Examiner, I am a well informed fan. AJC sometimes provides good info, but I find the writing a little bit lacking.
October 2006
I joined midway through what was shaping up to be a fantastic season. And then, being obsessive me, I started annoying everyone with all sorts of posts on a nearly daily basis.
