Our Fantasy Football Weekend Continues: The Best Falcons
You'll have to forgive me for pursuing this one more time, but it's a slow weekend and there was a great response to the last fantasy football post.
Basically, I'll take this to a more team-centric place and ask you a couple of questions that are at least somewhat related to the Atlanta Falcons. First, how many Falcons do you have on your fantasy team or have you had in the past? Who are the best fantasy Falcons of your lifetime, and this time?
Ponder away!

well...
Like I said in the last comment I left, 2 years ago I had almost all falcons players and got destroyed in my league. I had a bad taste in my mouth goin into last years draft so I kinda stayed away from them. I wanted to pick up turner around the 5th or 6th round but somebodt got him about 3 picks ahead of when I was going to take him. Was tempted to take matty ice with my last pick but didn’t, wish I had of gone for it now but as they say hindsight is 20/20
Hey Dave, just an idea for ya…you should do a post/poll about player celebrations, I’m curious as to how other fans feel about them. Football is a very emotional sport and I personally enjoy watching guys celebrate big plays. Like I said just an idea since there really isn’t any football news happening right now

Great idea
Look for that one in the week ahead. I have pretty strong feelings about the celebration issue.

hmmm...
yeah, I agree on the celebrations topic, that one will be fun. I have some opinions, but I’ll save them for that thread.
About not drafting falcons players… I can’t really blame you for having that bad taste. I aquired Turner after he somehow went undrafted in my league (there were only 6 of us in my co-workers league, so it made sense how he didn’t get drafted). Drew Brees was my QB, so Matty Ice didn’t really have a place on my roster when I already had Aaron Rodgers as his backup.
I just got into fantasy football about 2 years ago, so I don’t really have much history with Falcons players.
know what you believe in and why you believe in it

Well
I had turner and norwood last season and I used norwood strictly as a backup. Obviously turner had a great year. a couiple of years back I had crumpler as my tight end and he worked out really well. It was the year (atleast I think) that he was our leading receiver. I dont really recall using anyone else with much success.

I generally
Have avoided Falcons in the past. 1) The 5-6 years I’ve played, nobody has been too impressive – or consistently good – that I felt like I needed to draft them, and 2) a couple other guys in my league always over-drafted them because they were fans, too…
