The Falcoholic Mock Draft Spectacular: Fourth Round Nominations
I know, I know. Two short, discussion-based posts in two days must mean Dave the Falconer is being lazy. If we're going to get this mock draft done before the actual draft, however, we're going to have to cram the next three rounds into less than two weeks. No pressure, of course.
I do have a few nominations from the Sen'Derrick Marks post earlier this week, so those will all be considered. Starting in this round, I will be selecting the two most likely or quality picks at each position for you guys to vote on. That ought to cut down on the incredibly long list we've been voting on the last few times out.
Make me proud, ladies and gentlemen!

" No, I think I'll sit in the balcony " - Abe Lincoln
Sebastian Vollmer (Houston OT)
6’8 and 315 lbs … so the size is there. He’s a bit of a late-bloomer, but he’s an excellent pass blocker AND he has good agility for his size (meaning his run blocking skills will only continue to develop).
His size forces DEs to take “the long way” en route to the QB (which I’m sure Matty Ice would appreciate).

Let’s be realistic w/ our nominations people. We drafted a DT in the third round of this mock, so we’re not going to draft another. While we might need to pick up a couple of OLBs in this draft, I’d say an OT is a bigger priority than a second OLB (meaning we should draft an OT before a second OLB in the mock).

In that case
How about Kraig Urbik (OT) out of Wisconsin. He is 6’5 328. Not sure about his pass blocking ability since Wisconsin is primarily a run team. He has the size though.

Nominated Urbik a couple spots up. I’m not as familiar with Urbik as Vollmer, but they both have good size.
Cornelius Lewis (Tennessee State OT)
Mammoth individual. He is 6’4 336. Transferred from Florida State, so he was probably a decent recruit.
Yes ...
but we already picked a DT in this mock. Do you really think the Falcons will draft 2 DTs (2/4 first picks)?

I dont see why they wouldnt, if you think about it we dont really have a dangerous DT, Trey Lewis as the potential but really thats it, i dont think babanoux or moorehead is gonna cut it.
While I can actually see them drafting two DTs
I’ve gotta ask if you’ve been watching the same Babineaux I have. I thought he got that extension because he’s a very solid interior lineman.
That's fair ...
but 2 in the first 4 rounds? That’s is VERY unlikely.

Since we decided on a TE in the 3rd
Stack the 4th with DT and Safeties.
4th pick
Dominique Johnson – DB JSU
Have to take based on the name alone, but can also do the CB/FS thing.
