Free Agent WR Drew Bennett Visits The Falcons
I'm not exactly jumping up and down on my office chair from this news. Bennett hasn't been more than a decent option in a while now and I'm not sure he'd be a huge upgrade over anyone on the roster now (except maybe Weems). Let's pass.

I think we are pretty good now on offense specially on the WR spot.. White, Jenkins, Douglas, Finn, and Gonzo.. I dont see where we would put another WR…

If we have the cap room, why not?
So long as players don’t come in expecting more than around the league minimum or an assured starting spot, I don’t see the harm in brining in some veterans to add depth and compete with the younger players. No one should feel safe and everyone should be challenged for their spot.
Look at some of the moves the Patriots have made in the last few seasons. Junior Seau, Randy Moss, Joey Galloway, Shawn Springs, Fred Taylor, ect. These are essentially low-risk/high-reward moves with players comming in for fairly little money with the opportunity to earn more if they have a breakout year (i.e. Moss). If a rookie beats them out for a starting spot, so be it. The vet can ride the pine for a season and try their luck with another team the next season. If Fred Taylor has a 1,500 yard season, then Laurence Maloney gets motivated to work harder and win back his spot. Either way, the Patriots win.

Yes
If we don’t have to guarantee him anything, I can’t see the harm …
Reporter: How will you address all of the dropped passes?
Mike Smith: I don’t think that we were as sharp as we have been catching the football. It’s something that is very fixable. It’s VERY fixable.

No exactly jumping for joy
Drew Bennett? Yeah!
Now Leroy Hill or Larry Foote? that would excite me!

Why pay 7-10 million to a 28 year old?
Lets develop what we have. There is something to be said for the loyalty of rooking on their first team.

I think Im sleeping....
Okay Hill signed with Seattle…anything else happen while I slept? lol
I don’t have issues giving Nicholas a chance to start, or will it be Sidburry? He could play either linebacker or DE. By the video Ive seen of him and all the write ups, I’d love to see him at LB. He could be an instant QB nightmare like DeMarcus Ware from what I’ve seen. Through Davis in at DE and I’ll be stoked!

I hope they keep El Sid at end
It seem harder to find elite pass rushing defensive ends for a 4-3 defense than a solid line backers. Now if we ran a 3-4 I think your idea would be very intresting.

I agree
I’d like to have Abraham and El Sid (hahaha, that’s great) on the edges with Moore coming up to support OLB. I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing him as a hybrid for the art of versatility and unpredictability.
A good rotation is going to make our defense unique and eventually, elite!

El Sid...
will be the heir to Abraham’s WSE spot, not to play opposite of him. He lacks idea size to shed TEs and make plays on outside runs. He’s best when rushing the QB. Davis is the ideal SDE in the 4-3. I can see Davis growing with playing time. I think he becomes a star this year. It’s time for Coach Smith to do the right thing and move him to the starting spot. You’d have to be blind to see he outplayed JA last year…

I can very easily see
an unpredictable rotation being developed for our front 4. Abraham always switches between right and left DE (but primarily plays left) and I can see them conditioning Sid to do the same. I bet JA, with his run stopping ability still sees a lot of playing time and him and Davis will be switching between DE and NT with Babs being our primary NT. Lewis and Jerry will be our primary rotating DTs with Jerry seeing the majority of the playing time. I don’t forsee Vance Walker seeing much of the field this season with us being stacked so deep at the position.
know what you believe in and why you believe in it
